why it is high cutoff in Ap where as low in telangana for mbbs 2021?

Kashish Saxena 24th Dec, 2021

Hello student,

The cutoffs for colleges of any state changes every year due to various factors. Also there is difference in cutoffs of different states. It depends on following aspects, such as:

  • No. of students attempted exam
  • No. Of students participated in counselling
  • Total number of colleges in that state
  • No. Of students qualified the exam in that state ( more qualified candidates, more is the cutoffs)
  • Reservations
  • Highest score in that state

And many more. Therefore nothing can be predicted with certainty regarding college admission before the official announcement.

Hope you get some clarification.

i have done my 10th and 12th from board of secondary education Telangana, to take admission in IIT ISM i have to upload marks sheet and passing certificate online. I only got Memo of 10th and 12th, now what should I upload in given slots.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 25th Nov, 2021

Hello,

Passing certificate is issued by the board from which you have passed on successfully completing the course. Board of Secondary Education, Telangana does not issue Passing certificate. It issues memorandum of marks cum pass certificate which can be considered as marksheet as well as passing certificate. So you have to upload memorandum of marks cum pass certificate which you have in both the fields that is in Marksheet and passing certificate field in the application. If you have passed 10+2 or Intermediate from state board you should upload the marksheet in both fields.

I got sc rank 10k and CRL 1.8lakh rank home state telangana and according csab 2020 cutoff round 1. they are saying for NIT DELHI cse sc cutoff is 20K TO 30K FOR SC APPROX. SO WILL I GET SEAT IN NITS AND BRANCH. please refer csab 2020 cut-off list. please I want this answer

Sharon Rose Student Expert 25th Nov, 2021

Hello,

In CSAB 2020 Round 1 counselling the cut off was 51452 for SC category to get admission to Computer Science Engineering in National Institute of Technology Delhi. The cut off mentioned is the CRL rank secured by the candidate in JEE Main. This year the cut off may vary in between 50000-60000. Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in NIT Delhi in CSE. Based on the previous year cut off here is the list of few institutes in which you have chances of getting seat

  • National Institute of Technology Nagaland: Civil Engineering (slight chances)
  • National Institute of Technology Raipur: Bio Medical Engineering (slight chances)
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Physics (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree))
  • National Institute of Technology Durgapur : Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science)

To check the previous year cut off use the link below

https://admissions.nic.in/csabspl/csabsplresult/result/CurrentORCR.aspx

The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To know the colleges in which you have chances of getting seat you can use JEE Main college predictor tool using the link below

i scored 372 in neet 2021. i belong to obc . my AIR is 229933 and category rank - 100172 . is there any chance of getting medical seat in AP or telangana

Kashish Saxena 25th Nov, 2021

Hello aspirant,

According to previous year cutoffs trend, at your score you have very low chances for getting admission in government medical colleges or government dental colleges. But you have have chance to get MBBS in private medical colleges under only through management quota.

However remember that cutoffs changes every year due to various factors such as number of students attempted exam and number of students participated in counselling and, difficulty level of exam, reservations and more. So nothing can be predicted with certainty until the official announcement of cutoff. Some private medical colleges for your consideration are as follows:

  • Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences, Vikarabad
  • Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences
  • Surabhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Siddipet
  • PES Institute of Medical Sciences, Kuppam
  • Santhiram Medical College Nandyal

For more college options at your score you can use our NEET UG college predictor tool too which provides you elaborate information regarding suitable colleges:

Hope your query is resolved.

My OBC-NCL rank is 54,432 in JEE mains, im from telangana, what NITs can i get ? I dont have any branch preferences. If not NIT at all then what are other best options for me please help me

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Oct, 2021

Hi

Making  prediction is difficult as  cutoff  depends upon various factors like :-

-----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) performance of different students in the examination,

-----------) the branch you want,

-----------) the category you belong etc.

-----------) your rank in jee main

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>>>> With 54432 obc rank,

You have  low chance in any NITs .

For example,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020   :-

  • Nit nagaland :- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) :-  15340 obc rank

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala :- Production Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology :- 15659  obc rank

  • National Institute of Technology, Surat:-Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science):-16453 obc rank

You can verify the above at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So, to get a seat in NIT you should get at least around 15000 - 16000 OBC rank

But yes,

Some of the   government   engineering colleges in which you hold a chance on the basis of past year closing rank are listed below along with the link for their previous year cutoff :-

-------) Indira Gandhi Engineering College, Sagar :- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/indira-gandhi-engineering-college-sagar/cut-off

-------) Engineering College Nowgong, Chhatarpur:- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/engineering-college-nowgong-chhatarpur/cut-off

-------) Jiwaji University, Gwalior:- https://www.careers360.com/university/jiwaji-university-gwalior/cut-off

This prediction of colleges is  based of past year data but  cut off or closing rank changes every year depending upon many factors like the number of students that give the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main  for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Hi I got 500 marks in Neet and all india rank 84520, Am from telangana, can i get govt seat. Category is GEN-EWS

piyush263001 25th Nov, 2021

Hello,

NEET 2021 results have been declared by the National Testing Agency NTA.

To predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every depending upon several factors such as-

• Number of applicants in NEET exam

• NEET question paper difficulty level

• Score of the candidates in NEET 2021 result

• MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2021

NEET 2021 Cut-off goes like :-

• General /EWS- 50th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile

• General-PwD - 45th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th percentile

Marks wise cut off is as following-

• General - 720-138

• OBC/SC/ST - 137-108

• Gen PwD - 137-122

• (OBC /SC / ST ) PwD - 121-108

Though it was expected that due to higher difficulty level of examination cut-off for colleges will decrease, but it turns out students have performed exceptionally well and the cut offs for the colleges is expected to increase compared to last year.

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year.

With marks you have scored, it would be very difficult for you to get  Government Medical Colleges.

Though you have a very good chance in MBBS in Deemed universities(high fees) and also private colleges in Telangana -

• AYAAN INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES

• DECCAN COLLEGE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES

• DR PATNAM MAHENDER REDDY INST OF MED SCI, CHEVELLA

• KAMINENI ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCI AND RESEARCH, HYD

I am from Telangana and got 349 marks in NEET and shall i get MBBS seat in 2021

Kuheli Sanyal 16th Oct, 2021

Hey,

Nothing fixed can be said until NEET 2021 results come out. Cut offs and ranks are subject to change every year depending on the difficulty level of the paper, the performance of the students and the number of seats available.

Having said that, based on previous year data with 349 marks you may get a rank between 273287-286921. You can also predict your rank using NEET Rank Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor

Since you did not mention your category, I am assuming you are from general category.

You can get management quota seats in private medical colleges through Telangana State Counselling -

  • Ayaan Institute of Medical Sciences
  • Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences

To get a complete list of colleges in which you can get MBBS/BDS seat, you can use NEET College Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor

Atul Singh 24th Nov, 2021

Dear Student,

There are many good college you can get with this rank but in those good colleges you need to compromise with the branch, like there you will get branches like Life science, dual degree courses, metallurgical, bio technology, etc. Name of the such colleges are-

  • NIT Trichy
  • NIT Rourkela
  • NIT durgapur
  • BIT Mesra
  • NIT Surat
  • PEC
  • NIT Raipur

And if you really need CSE/IT only then you can consider these colleges.

  • IIIT Bhopal, IT
  • IIIT Una, IT
  • IIIT Kottayam, CSE
  • IIIT Dharwad, CSE

And in CSAB round they only consider the CRL rank not the category rank.

And if you want to know about more colleges then you can use this college predictor.
