I got sc rank 10k and CRL 1.8lakh rank home state telangana and according csab 2020 cutoff round 1. they are saying for NIT DELHI cse sc cutoff is 20K TO 30K FOR SC APPROX. SO WILL I GET SEAT IN NITS AND BRANCH. plz

Sharon Rose Student Expert 24th Nov, 2021

Hello,

In round 1 of CSAB 2020 counselling the cut off(CRL) was 51452 for SC category to get admission to Computer Science and Engineering in National Institute of Technology Delhi. Taking the previous year cut off in to consideration and the CRL that you have secured you do not have chances to get seat in CSE in National Institute of Technology Delhi. But you have chances of getting seat in the following institutes

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Physics (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree))
  • National Institute of Technology Durgapur : Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science)

To check the previous year cut off use the link below

https://admissions.nic.in/csabspl/csabsplresult/result/CurrentORCR.aspx

The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

Dear Student,

There are many good college you can get with this rank but in those good colleges you need to compromise with the branch, like there you will get branches like Life science, dual degree courses, metallurgical, bio technology, etc. Name of the such colleges are-

  • NIT Trichy
  • NIT Rourkela
  • NIT durgapur
  • BIT Mesra
  • NIT Surat
  • PEC
  • NIT Raipur

And if you really need CSE/IT only then you can consider these colleges.

  • IIIT Bhopal, IT
  • IIIT Una, IT
  • IIIT Kottayam, CSE
  • IIIT Dharwad, CSE

And in CSAB round they only consider the CRL rank not the category rank.

Good Luck :)

Hello,

Last year the cut off in CSAB Round 1 counselling to get seat in National Institute of Technology Delhi in Computer Science and Engineering was 51452 (CRL) for SC category. Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in National Institute of Technology Delhi in Computer Science and Engineering. However you have chances of getting seat in the following NITs in CSAB counselling based on previous year cut off

  • National Institute of Technology Nagaland: Civil Engineering (slight chances)
  • National Institute of Technology Raipur: Bio Medical Engineering (slight chances)
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Physics (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree))
