The placement record of thapar university concluded with 994 jobs being rolled out by various companies. The highest salary package offered was 39 LPA. The average salary package is near about 7 LPA. Top companies like Amazon,  Microsoft,  DW are visited the campus for placement.

Also very recently TATA MOTORS,  Maruti Suzuki,  Whirlpools,  Royal Bank of scotland visited the campus.

To take admission in DU in Bcom, you need minimum 60% marks to get eligible for admission. So don't worry you will gwt chance to study in DU. But many top colleges of DU set cut off 80-90% to get admission. So, it is difficult to get admission there. You will get admission in other colleges of DU. So there is no much problem, just do best in your Bcom program.

You see these both are different programs Thapar University provides you a four year program in B.E. while HCL Tech provides you a one year program for those who want IT jobs after class 12th .

So if you want to pursue engineering then Thapar University is a Very good option for but if you want to pursue any other degree then you can go with hcl tech .

As far as the college records, placements and students reviews are concerned, Computer Science is the most demanding branch of THAPAR University, Patiala. It has got decent placements and career opportunities. Top Companies like Microsoft, amazon also recruit students from here and come for campus placements.

The selection procedure in Thapar University for B.E/B.Tech programs is based in two modes. In Mode I , 70% of the seats are filled through JEE Main 2020 percentile on merit basis. For this the candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 60% in Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject.

In Mode II, 30% of the seats are filled on merit basis for the candidates securing minimum 75% in PCM or Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject. Also the candidate should have appeared JEE MAIN 2020

see thapar institute of technology offers courses on ug like b.e btech, masters courses like m.e/mtech, phd etc, you did not mention which course you want to take admission, however b.e /b.tech course admission is based on jee  main score, or 12th score, 70% seats fills by jee main score, when the final jee main score published after completing the second stage exam , candidates need to apply in thaper website filling the application form. btech biotechnology admission is based on neet score. follow the below link to know in details,
