The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore
Hello student,
Cse is the most happening branch and SIT and NIE are the top colleges in Karnataka, so it is almost same. But counting on all the factors, cse is good academically in NIE, it has placements in NIE. Cse is good academically and has good placements in SIT but not as much as NIE. So if you opt for high packages then go for cse in NIE and also you will have strong basics with good placements for cse in NIE. Hold on to SIT as your second option as it belongs to one of the best colleges in Karnataka.
Cheers!
Just clear the cutoff of jee mains then most probably you will get admission in that course.Because it is a food technology now people are less aware about that course i think the cutoff will be low.I hope this helps.
hello aspirant,
from the point of view of infrastructure and placement opportunity i think you should give first preferences to bit mesra, then second preferences to dayanand sagar college of engineering, as it is a prominent institute ion bangalore.third preferences to national-institute-of-engineering-mysore, fourth preference to seemant institute of technology.
hope it helps.

Hey Pratyush,
The fee structure of NIE Mysore through comedk is:
COMEDK quota seats
Rs 55,000/-
(to be paid at COMEDK
counseling centre)
Rs 1,46,9201/-
(lncluding tuition fee, WU &
Other fees)
And an Important Note For Non Karnataka student < .1,500/- extra for eligibility fee.
Hello Pratyush, The best college for CSE course among these two would be MVIT as the cutoff for MVIT is less compared to NIE and SIT which suggests that there would be better students in that college and thus you would get a better environment to study. Also, the placement record of MVIT is a little better than NIE as it is located in Bengaluru city and thus more companies visit there for placements.
Hi Chandu,
Congatulations on managing to score a decent rank. The cutoffs obviously vary every year so I would advise you to keep more options in safety. Please ask yourself, what work will you love doing? The Civil stuff or those playing with websites, programming and IoT.Please do not merely choose a college based on placements. You would have to compromise as you may not get top colleges but take up your preferred branch only.I would still attach a link for you below do that you can get to know where you have high, low or medium chances i.e in which colleges and branch. The link will give you details of every college. So please go to that link, you can add your own preferences like your category and compare different colleges before taking one.

Best wishes!
Hello sooraj,
According to the surveys and reviews NIE stands out to be one of the best colleges in Karnataka and better than dayanand sagar . But currently both are doing good academically. NIE has good faculties and better placements when compared to dayanand sagas. It was ranked 22 out all engineering colleges in India by outlook in 2017. So i suggest you to go for mechanical in NIE , also nie is known for excellence of mech branch in their College! So good luck!
Hey Bhargav,
Congrats on getting 17.5k rank in KCET.
According to your rank and analyzing the previous year trends.
If you have any other quota , Like 3a,3b or something other than that , than you have some chances of getting a seat in JCE or else that`s kind of hard .
But with General rank of yours, you can get a seat in The National Institute of Engineering Mysore.
But in case for backup , here are some other good colleges for your rank :
Dr. Ambedkar Institute Of Technology Bangalore
S K S J T Institute of Engineering. Bangalore
Sri Siddartha Institute of Technology Tumkur

Good luck.
Nope bro, you can't get a seat in NIE Mysore and that too in CSE branch. As NIE is among the top colleges of karnattaka and you are not from karnattaka state as well. NIE, Mysore closes it's admission for CSE branch at around 2000-2500 rank in COMEDK. So hard luck this time, and best of luck for the future
