The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata
Hello,
Your CLAT 2025 rank of 21,177 places you beyond the typical cutoff range for OBC-A (West Bengal domicile) candidates seeking admission to WBNUJS Kolkata .
In Round 1 of CLAT 2025 counselling , the closing rank for OBC-A (WB domicile) was 10,297 for BA LLB and 13,417 for BSc LLB.
Given that only three counselling rounds are being conducted this year, compared to five in previous years, the chances of significant rank movement are limited. Also, the closing ranks for OBC-A (WB domicile) have not extended to your current rank in previous years .
So, I will suggest you to participate in all rounds of counselling, may be you can get admission if there is any seat left, also explore alternative options like state law colleges in West Bengal with OBC-A reservation.
Hope it helps !
Hello aspirant,
NLUs may comprise of high fee structure, but the quality of the education is incomparable to the other universities. If the real problem is financial burden, then there are lot of ways to overcome the same.
1) You can get a scholarship for the purpose of course fee
2) You might get a loan basing upon your qualification. Go to your bank and submit all the documents, they will provide you education loan, and you can happily repay them after graduating. Because there are high chances that you might land in a good job.
Hope this helps!!
The rank scored by you is really impressive and the college which you are looking for is also one of the top college with a good academic record, so you should definitely give a try though it is quite tough due to very high cutoffs and competition but as you have mentioned about OBC, hence you can apply in that category as well which might increase your chance. There are few more colleges mentioned below so you can research about them as well.
National Law School,Banglore
NLU,Delhi
NALSAR,Hyderabad
The West Bengal National University,Kolkata
NLU,Bhopal
This are top most choices and also there are many good number of colleges about which you can research.
Thank you..
Dear aspirant,
It is difficult to predict this information as cut-offs depend on many factors like difficulty of the examination paper, number of students appearing, change in total seats offered etc. These factors change every year and therefore one can not predict the cut-offs with accuracy.
However you can check for past year cut-off with you All India Rank. According to our sources, last year the all India rank for scheduled caste with west bengal domicile was 7976 . If your rank is around this range, you can perhaps get WBNUJS in CLAT counselling.
All the best!
