Hello sir, I got 30 rank in TSPGECET 2019 (mechanical). I belong to Andhra Pradesh. Can I get Mtech thermal engineering in JNTUH ??

Sharon Rose Student Expert 4th Jul, 2019
Hello Aspirant,

Your question is incomplete because you have not mentioned to which category you belong to.But still I want to help you.As you have secured an excellent rank in TSPGCET yes, you have very high chances of getting a seat in JNTU Hyderabad no matter to which category you belong to.So you may consider seeking admission in JHTU Hyderabad. You may have to provide non local certificate at the time of taking admission.

I hope this is helpful.

Is Nit silchar good for mtech in thermal engineering ,what about placements.

Kritika sagar 19th Jun, 2019

Hello,

NIT Silchar is one of the best college in india, specially for mechanical branch, but it is mostly for UG Courses.I mean more job opportunities are for B.tech students.Placement for M.tech is not so good,if you are good in writing some good research paper and academics then you may get a job.But for a good job and confirmed placements mostly IIT's are choosed.Although NIT Silchar has good facilities, libray ,infrastructure and faculities. For getting a degree and good knowledge you may join this college. But is not very great incase of M.tech placement.I hope it helped

how is the placements for ME thermal engineering in bits ?

Saadhvi 6th Jun, 2019

Hey,

Considering that the course would cost 8 lacs, it is not worthy. The placement scenario is not upto the mark. Few or no placements are being alloted. The teaching is not satisfactory. Not blaming the college, the need for thermal engineers in the society is less. Most of the companies, having lesser need for thermal engineers, would opt candidates from IITs, NITs.

Thank you and keep asking:)

Is Nit Mizoram good for mtech (thermal engineering) and what about the placements.

Roma Kaur 1st Jun, 2019

Hello Aspirant

Though NIT Mizoram due it its remote location is often looked down upon, this place has it's own flavor in it. The major reasons why aspirants ignore this NIT without full information & analysis about it are :

·         Temporary Campus, No PERMANENT CAMPUS yet

·         Remote Location in North East

·         Low Ranked (due to location)

·         Not so high media coverages

·         The "New NIT" tag

The faculty at NIT Mizoram is good. The teachers here are PhDs and those having a master’s degree are currently pursuing PhD.
NIT Mizoram conducts many GIAN courses which you won’t find in any private institute. Earlier it conducted a GIAN course on Robot Operating System and is currently conducting 5 more courses on Maths and Electrical.

The placements of this NIT are improving over the years. The average package ranges to 4 lacs.

NIT Mizoram is a decent option for Mtech. You can also look for private onstitutes as they might offer you a better placement record.

Best of luck!

For M.Tech in Thermal Engineering, which one of these is better? NIT Durgapur or NIT Kurukshetra.

Sweccha 24th May, 2019
Dear aspirant,
As both the NIT's are good .
But the NIT kurukshetra is best for thermal engineering in terms of faculty and placement records.
Placements are good for mechanical students here.and the placement rate is also increasing every year here. You can go for NIT Kurukshetra .
Thank you
Hope it helps.

Hi sir I got 809 rank in mechanical engineering.any chance to m.Tech seat in AU or any university in thermal engineering, tell me please..

Sweccha 23rd May, 2019
Dear Aspirant,
Your question is not clear to me.Have you got 809 in GATE. If your GATE rank is 809 then you have a pretty well rank.you can get NIT's and some of the IIT's also
And if your AP PGECET rank is 809. You have a chance of getting a seat in AU.Go through the cutoff once it released. You will get good Colleges for sure because of your good rank .
Thank you.hope it helps.

Saanch kaushik 22nd May, 2019

Hello Nilajan, hope you are doing good. The placements in the college are very good. 44 Lacs was the highest package offered. Average package went to 6-7 Lacs. Microsoft, vipro, JP morgan and many other good companies visited Thapar. Many were given paid internship as well. All in all the placements were very well.
