I wish you all the best
Hello there,
Anyone who have completed thier X, XI, XII on any reputed institutions outise Tamil Nadu can still apply for TNEA counselling. On obtaining a valid cutoff, you may be offered seats in Government quota as a student of TamilNadu gets. All you should provide is a proper Nativity certificate of yours. If you still belong to TN, you can provide your TC upon certificate verification process and it tells them about your school.
To calculate your cutoff for TNEA follow the link:

Hello
So as you have mentioned your TNEA cut off is 195 so your predicted rank would be nearly 1.2k - 1.3k. Please note that this rank is not exact but it's only a prediction based on previous year trends. This is a good rank and yes you can get a seat in MIT. If we see previous few years cutoff for B.Tech in aeronautical engineering for MIT Chennai it was nearly opening at ~189 cutoff marks and closing at ~199 cutoff score. And hence you have chances to get a seat in your preferred branch.
Since you are OC student, the last year cutoff for OC was ~ 3k. You can claim reservation of 31% of seats through TNEA .

Hope this helps
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
According to the requirements for admission to the BTech programme applicants must have received a minimum proportion of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in their 10+2 exams. So, yes! You can enrol in the BTech if you have biology knowledge, but you must take an entrance exam to enrol in any engineering course. The engineering entrance exams now require three subjects, including mathematics, physics, and chemistry. You must therefore pass the entrance mathematics exam because it is required for all engineering programmes.
Hope this was helpful. you have a wonderful day!
Hey student,
YES, PCB students can also apply for BE in Biomedical Engineering. The criteria regarding stream in class 12 is : The candidate must pass class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics , Chemistry and Maths/Biology. Every course requires Mathematics.
All the best student,
Hope this helps you.
Yes other state students can also apply for TNEA, there is no need to have mandatory domicile of Tamil Nadu.
Because as per the eligiblity criteria :-
>>>>> Candidates from outside of Tamil Nadu are required to submit a nativity certificate in digital form to become eligible for TNEA counselling
>>>>> Candidate must have cleared class 12/HSC from any recognized board.
>>>>> The mandatory subjects in which the candidate should have passed for TNEA 2022 eligibility are Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
>>>>> The candidates must have scored at least 45 % (General), 40% (Backward class including backward class Muslims, MBC & DNC, and SC/SCA/ST).

Hi Swetha!
TNEA is Tamil Nadu Engineering admission exam which is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu. The exam is mainly for the candidates who have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in 12th class.
** Students with Biology/Biotechnology can also apply for specific courses such as B.tech in Biotechnology etc.
Otherwise, it is mandatory to have mathematics as one of the subjects other than Physics and Chemistry to get admission in other branches.
Thankyou!
HI,
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions or TNEA in short, is a department of Anna University that looks after admissions to B.E & B.Tech courses in engineering colleges all over the state. All colleges which are under Anna University admit students based on their PCM scores in 12th standard board examination. Unlike most other states, there is NO separate entrance test in Tamil Nadu. The entire process is pretty straight forward and you need to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in each Physics, Chemistry & Maths. For Marine engineering, however, you need 60% marks in these 3 subject plus 50% in English.
