How can a B.Com fresher student apply for hostel facility in delhi university??

Shreya gupta 13th May, 2019
Hi
All colleges of Delhi University do not provide hostel facility. However, there are some colleges where you can get hostel. These colleges allot hostel only on the basis of cut off marks. So there is one round of cut offs that comes out for admission. Simultaneously, a separate list is released for hostel allotment.

Hence, it will depend completely on your best four percentage.

However, if you dont get hostel facility, you can always go for PG accommodation in the same area where your college is.

Recently, there is an organisation that has started providing student accommodation. It is called Stanza Living. They have really good properties in north campus and will come up with properties in south campus also.

I would suggest you to attend the counseling session conducted by Delhi University in its main campus itself where they provide the information that is all about the university briefly and that to the information is provided by the professors and students of Delhi University.

Sir I got 92.4 percent in 12th board .Which college in Delhi University can I get admission for Bsc (math)

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 13th May, 2019
Hii Satish
Unfortunately no. With even a percentage as high as 92.4 you won't make it to a good  college of the university of Delhi for pursuing Bachelor's of sciences in mathematics Honours. The cutoffs for mathematics Honours is always as high as more than 95 percentage for the top colleges of the North campus as well as for the south campus colleges. You might have had a chance if you belong to any of the reserved categories. You can get College's like zakir Hussain , deshbandhu college .
You can still wait for the actual cutoffs to be declared by the university of Delhi on their website.
You can reach out to us for more information regarding admissions procedure, important dates, cutoffs etc.
Hope it helps

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 13th May, 2019
Hii
No with mere 87.4 percentage in class 12th boards examinations you can get any college of the university of Delhi for pursuing Bachelor's in chemistry honours. The cutoffs for this course is very high generally every year. You can though apply to other central Universities in Delhi like Jamia millia Islamia they have entrance based admissions and you might get through. You won't get a college in the Delhi university if you belong to the unreserved or the general category. I got 87.5% in my board exam can i get admissions in bcom(honours) in delhi university north campus

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 12th May, 2019
Hii paras
No being from the general category itself makes it very difficult for you to get a good college and with 87.5 percentage in class 12th boards makes it all the way impossible. The cutoffs for the general category students is very high for the North campus colleges more than 95 percentage and as high as more than 90 percentage for south campus colleges. You won't get in a college as of now , let the actual cutoffs to be declared by the university of Delhi on their official website.

what is cut-off of Indraprastha Univ. cet btech biotech entrance examination and also bsc science of Delhi University in general category ?

saumyash9_6665013 Student Expert 11th May, 2019

In delhi university, you have B.sc hons in physics, maths, chemistry, computer science, biology, zoology, botany, electronics, statistics whose cut off is higher. At last you need to score above 85% for general category. for top DU colleges, 95% is what you require.

the b.sc programmes in physical sciences and life sciences have a comparitively lower cut-off. you can even get admission by the last cut off list if you have scored 78 and above. however in top colleges, 90% is a must.

for IPU, a rank under 5000 is safe for getting a decent college of you choice.
