Can I get Admission in delhi university for bsc hons. in biotechnology with 77% from ISC.

arpita sinha 8th May, 2019
Hello Shilpam!

The cutoff in Delhi University usually goes higher for the students belonging to:
General category- 90%-95% and above
OBC- 77%-80% and above
SC- 72%-75% and above
ST- 70% and above.

Hence this solely depends on your category along with your marks in 12th boards. But do apply for the same. Perhaps sports quota, dance or NCC quota might help you to reach in there.

All the best! Do well! :)

Hello Shaina,
To get into Delhi university you need to have percentage of 95 and above on 3 core subjects such as PCM. Since you have scored 94.7% you are less likely to get admission. Else you can wrote DU entrance test to get a seat in the university.

Hello Yash,
You should know this, In Delhi University the admission criteria is based on the marks you have score in class 12th and from the 5 subjects they take best of 4 that is in out of 5 subjects you have to choose those 4 subjects in which you have scored maximum and taking English is compulsory in best 4. So this is how the admission process goes in Delhi University. And according to your question you can easily get admission in DU after scoring 72% and will easily get B.A without any doubt.

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 7th May, 2019

Hey,

with 92.4% in class 12th it is difficult for you to get admission in north campus of Delhi University. As the cut off in north campus is generally more than 95%. But you can get admission in south campus with this percentage.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Hii. I got 83% in my top 4 subject. I want to BA form Delhi university. So is there some chance of getting admission. I am from cbse board.

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 7th May, 2019
Hii Akhil
You have achieved just an average marks in your class 12th boards examinations. This much of a percentage is not. Enough to get admissions in any College of the university of Delhi for pursuing bachelor in any stream. The cutoffs for the courses are very high and has been the same for years. This year to you can expect the cutoffs of best of four aggregate to be more than 90+ in the south campus colleges and 95+ in the north campus colleges. You would not be able to make it if you belong to the unreserved category. You can wait for the actual cutoffs to be declared by the university of Delhi on their website. You can reach out to us for help regarding any information related to admissions process, cutoffs etc.
Hope it helps
