What is the Fees Structure of Mumbai University engineering colleges if I take admission using Gulf Quota as my father works in a Oman?

Nil Choudhury Student Expert 28th Jun, 2019
Dear aspirant,

The mumbai university has made a rule that states that only 15% or all management seats of any institute will be alloted for NRI quota. Not all institutions are mandated to have this quota. It is totally up to them if they will provide NRI quota or not.

With that being said here are the two types of quotas one can avail.

NRI student and children of indian workers in Gulf country

The second type will apply for you

Following is the Fee Structure per year payable by students belonging to the exclusive category of “Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries,” which is a special NRI quota for students who have obtained admission to the four-year degree course in the stream of engineering.
  • Tuition Fee: USD 1500
  • Development Fee: USD 500
  • Other Fees: Rs 4000
  • Total Fees per year: USD 2000 + Rs 4000
Students belonging to the category titled “Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries,” which is a special NRI quota, have to pay Rs 5000 as processing fees during the application time by Demand Draft, which is drawn in favor of “Director, Technical Education, Mumbai,” which is payable at Mumbai.

Hai. I need to get admission in B. Pth (physiotherapy) from Mumbai university. Please can you guide me what is the admission process.

Divyyanaa Hazarika 10th Jun, 2019

Hello Aspirant,

It seems like you are interested to pursue your career as a Physiotherapist. If you are inclined towards medical procedures and want to be a significant part of a patient's recovery and want to heal other human beings through your knowledge and work, Physiotherapist is the perfect career for you. Mumbai University itself doesn't hold the branch of Physiotherapy or any other such branch of medical sciences except for a few diploma courses in paramedics. You can apply to the colleges registered under Mumbai University. There are many colleges offering Physiotherapy courses. You must apply to those. You can visit the official websites of those colleges and follow their admission process. You can apply to K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy. It is a really prestigious college. Apart from that, there are many others. Just search through any search engine and you can easily make a list of them.

I hope this information helps you. Good luck !

the course for bfm is not on the mumbai university website so how to apply for the same

Yash Dev Student Expert 6th Jun, 2019
First of all, to be eligible to apply for admission for the BFM course, you should have passed class XII from Maharashtra state board or any other board with an aggregate of minimum 45%. It is not compulsory to have a commerce background to get admission in this course. As regards the procedure, first you apply on the mumbai university website. There you make your account and from their you can apply to various colleges and courses as per your choice. Thereafter, you have to physically go to the colleges where you want admission to submit the necessary documents like 10th and 12th marksheet, passing certificate, etc.
Once your documents are submitted, you wait for the merit lists to come out. There is NO entrance required. Usually about 5-6 merit lists come out and if your name is there in any of those, you again have to go to college and confirm your admission.

Feel free to comment if you have any doubt
Good luck

MY ALL INDIA RANK IS 394 IN NEET 2019 WHICH GOVERNMENT COLLEGE FOR MBBS I WILL BE SELECTED UNDER DELHI OR MUMBAI UNIVERSITY

Kashish Student Expert 12th Jun, 2019

Hello dear candidate.

I regret informing you this.

But, based on your score, I see very thin possibilities of you getting into any government college for MBBS Course.

However, I suggest you to try in for private college for self financed seats.

I wish you luck for your future.

MY ALL INDIA RANK IS 394 WHICH GOVERNMENT COLLEGE I WILL GET UNDER 15% ALL INDIA QUOTA UNDER DELHI OR MUMBAI UNIVERSITY

Manasi Shewale 4th Jul, 2019

Hello,

The cut off marks for General Category under All India Quota counselling in NEET is usually 550 and above for government medical colleges. The cut off marks for Delhi Colleges under All India Quota counselling was 560 and above. Similarly, for the colleges in Mumbai the cut off was around 550 and above. The cut off changes every year but not in a very wide range. A score of 394 therefore, becomes a low score for admission through 15% All India Quota counselling. The chances of admission might be difficult.

Good Luck.

MY ALL INDIA RANK IS 394 WHICH COLLEGES I COULD BE SELECTED ON 15% QUOTA OF DELHI OR MUMBAI UNIVERSITY OR OTER EXCEPT KOLKATA & SOUTH INDIAN

manisha.gupta 4th Sep, 2019

Hello Shipra,

Based on this score the chances are very less to get a seat in All India Quota seats & state quota seats also. You can get a seat in private colleges for MBBS programme. Since it is very late to answer your query, I hope you have checked the seat allotment & also allotted the seat in any of the medical college.

If you have any other query then let us know.

Good Luck!
