Hello!
This time both gate score and bits hd exam score are considered for admission. To be on a safer side you need to score an aggregate of 60% in gate exam and 160+ in bits hd exam. However the cutoffs vary every year so you can have a look at the past trends as well.
which specilization have more scope in future....is construction technology and management or transportation engineering?? which one best
Both are the fields that India needs right now. Be it distrupted supply chains, or halted construction work, there is a high demand for smart work to achieve development in less time. So both the streams will have equal demand in future.
Point you should focus more on is whicb stream do 'you' like. Figure this out by comparing syllabus and all and go for the stream of your choice.
hii sir good mornning.i m raghu ,my graduation completed 2018 in civil engineering.now i m working as ward planning and regulation secretary in ward sachivalayam addanki.i am very much intrest for studying M.Tech transportation engineering.so kindly plz tell the brief information. thank you
Hi Aspirant!
M.tech is a 2 years post graduation degree and has a vast scope not only in India but in foreign countries as well. Companies working in transportation planning gives a lot of weightage to students who have completed master's degree than those who have completed UG even from IITs or NITs. Masters in Transportation is favorable for a company engaged in pavement design and transportation planning. You will trained for 2 years particularly for this domain only. You will have an opportunity to go to R& D for research, if you are interested. You can further go for PhD in any interested subject/topic. There are many colleges in India which offer M.tech in transportation engg. such as:
- IIT Bombay
- RV College of engineering Banglore
- IIT Madras
- LPU Phagwara
- Indian Institute of science and technology Shibpur
And many more, you can check it here:

You can also write some entrance exams to get admission in top colleges such as GATE.
Thankyou!
