Hello aspirant,
As per a recent order, released by the UGC, aspirants will no longer be allowed to pursue distance courses in Hotel Management and Real Estate. The step had been taken after suggestions that had been received from different regulatory bodies.
In accordance with the new order, all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes in Real Estate and Hotel Management will no longer be recognised by UGC from the 2019-20 academic session.
Nonetheless, admissions which have been undertaken in the Open and Distance Learning programmes at the time of recognition will retain their recognition till the completion of the programme, even in cases where the university does not receive the recognition for additional years. However, in these cases, the universities should abide by the norms mentioned by the UGC and territorial jurisdictions.
Hope it helps you..
Best of luck..
First of all you need to contact with the administration of your college and ask them the reason that why they are not refunding. Communicate with their higher management mentioning UGC guidelines. This will help you to make them understand your point and you will also know the reason behind the college response because sometimes i have seen that the college need time to refund the amount to the students. So before taking strict actions you must be aware about all the things. If still your issue persists then you can complain on UGC portal mentioning all the details. Don't worry and communicate with your college calmly.
Hi, there are very few universities that offer single sitting degree. You need to be very careful when it comes to such degrees as there are many fraud universities out there which are not UGC approved. It is recommended that you do your degree from open learning instead if you do not have time to be in college and do a campus degree for 3-4 years. Check out CIIS it will help. Hope this helps.
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you can apply for several govt jobs after a degree in agriculture. However, studying in a ugc recognized institutete does not guarantee a govt job. You have to qualify entrance exams or clear interviews to secure a government job.
The govt jobs comprises agricultural development officer, agricultural junior officer, forest officer, agricultural graduate trainee, agriculture technician, lab assistants, research analyst, etc.
There are jobs provided by the Food Corporation of India (FCI) for which you have to clear the entrance exam conducted by FCI.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.
Hi, no the degree that you will achieve from a university that is not UGC recognized will not be valid. You can check about your university on UGC's official website. There are about 23 universities in 9 states listed as fake universities on the website. If you happen to not get an admission in a recognized college you can do your degree course from open schooling to be safe. You can check for AICTE approval on their official website. If the university is not recognized by the government or UGC or AICTE than it is nit valid. Please look closely on your college's official website for all these recognitions. There are many colleges who do not approve of degrees that are done from an unrecognized colleges. If you still have doubts feel free to comment. Hope this helps.
