Hi, NAAC stands for National Assessment and Accreditation Council it is committee that assess Indian Institutions for better education in higher education system. Grades are given to college according to their facilities and quality education. Where as UGC is University Grants Commission provides recognition to the universities/colleges in India. It also disburses funds to the universities and college as you can see that the name of the institution itself contains the word 'GRANTS' defining its main function to provide recognition and grants to the universities of India. So, look for NAAC grade if you wish to know how the college is. Hope this helps.

Hi there!
As per the recent notification from the Ministry Of Education, PhD will not be mandatory for applying for the post of assistant professor in any university or college in India. This criteria will remain enforced till 2023. As far as NET is concerned, if you have a PhD degree from Top 500 Universities then you would be exempted from NET criteria. Without NET also, you can apply for the post of assistant professor if you are having a PhD degree from Top 500 Universities.
Thankyou.
