University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test
Hello,
As per the eligibility criteria for UGC NET , candidates need to pass master's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university securing 55% in case of general/general-ews category, 50% aggregate is only applicable for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender, the required aggregate in all the cases should come without rounding off, candidates who are pursuing or are in final year too are eligible to apply provisionally provided they can complete the degree within two years of qualifying UGC NET JRF/Assistant Professor with the required aggregate obviously.
hence with EWS Category, and securing 53% won't make you eligible for UGC NET, if you're interested to appear for this you will have to redo your postgrauate degree.
I would request you to check out the information brochure of UGC NET at https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/webinfo/File/GetFile?FileId=56&LangId=P, refer page no 6 to know the complete details regarding this.

Yes, you are eligible for UGC ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE after M.Sc in zoology as the main criteria for the same is to qualify the master degree from a recognized university with atleast 55% aggregate marks, 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST candidates. Final years students are also eligible for the same.
There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.
Hope this helps you.
