Eligibility criteria for UGC NET is as follows:
1) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masters Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer / Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Masters degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
2) Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Masters degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Assistant Professor eligibility only after they have passed their Masters degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ SC/ ST/ PWD (Persons with disability) category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

CSIR NET has five papers such as chemical science, physical science, mathematical science, biological science, and earth science, it is conducted twice a year for a duration of three hours, there are mainly three sections - Part A is common for all subjects, Part B contains subject-related conventional questions and Part C comprises higher value questions to test the knowledge of candidates, you can go through previous year papers at https://competition.careers360.com/articles/csir-ugc-net-question-papers , this will make you acquaint with exam pattern, marking scheme, important topics, weightage, through regular practice you will be able to analyze your level of preparation as well.

UGC NET eligibility criteria is given below :-

In case if your post graduation subject is not given in the list , then you can choose the relevant subject from the list as per your preference . Yes. You are eligible for both UGC net and PhD in environmental science. The pre requisite for both of these is MSc in environmental science or related field. So you are very much eligible.
