Yes Gender studies is a subject under UGC net. Various aspects of it are covered under women studies. The topics that were covered in the exam in 2019 was :

Unit 1 - Introduction to Womens studies:

-Key concepts in Gender studies.

-Need, Scope and challenges of Women’s Studies – Women’s Studies as an academic discipline. Women’s Studies to Gender Studies, Need for Gender Sensitization.

-Women’s Movements – global and local: Pre-independence, Post-independence and Contemporary Debates.

-National Committees and Commissions for Women.

Unit 2 - Feminist thinkers and theories

Unit 3 - Gender and Education

Unit 4 - Women, work and Employment

Unit 5 - Gender and Entreprenuership

Unit 6 - Women and Health

Unit 7 - Women Empowerment and Development

Unit 8 - Women law and Governance

Unit 9 - Gender and Media

Because you scan the photograph and it is further reduced in size when it comes on the admit card, the photograph seems to be small. But that is not a problem. Make sure you take a valid Id proof and a photograph which is similar to the one which you uploaded on the UGC NET application form. They will allow you to write the exam. Do not worry.

If you are going to continue your education then I would advise you against taking a part time job (if you are financially sound). But if you have financial needs to meet then you will have to take up a job. Instead of part time jobs try freelancing work from home jobs. It will allow you to work from the comfort of your home. Because studies and part time jobs are quite cumbersome.

see west bengal set and ugc set exam is conducts by two different authority. so it is totally depends on then what will be their criteria for eligibility condition.

we just need to follow the official notification according before applying to any exam.

see b.tech student are not eligible to give ugc net exam. and for mtech admission ugc net score is not evaluated. but if you passed mtech or m.e or masters course  in civil engineering you may apply for ugc net exam. engineering  students may apply for these subjects Chemical Science, Earth Science,  Life Science, Mathematical Science, Physical Science etc.
