It is necessary for you to include one language subject in best 4 calculation. Including English is not necessarily required until it be the only language subject you've studied in class 12th. For example If you've studied english as well as hindi in your 12th then you may include
The best of 4 in DU for BA programme is calculated by taking English and 3 other subjects in which the candidate has scored the best.
Your best of 4 will be calculated by taking English, Political Science, Geography and the 4th is optional between fine arts and economics. As
according to the guidelines there should be only 1 language subject in the best four percentage and the other 3 should be the core subjects according to the course. If you will add two language subjects there will be a deduction in your percentage.
