If you want to pursue PhD course after you finish your legal studies then you need to qualify in post graduation degree or complete M.Phil in Law in similar stream with a minimum aggregate of 55% from recognised board university & then you can apply for the admission process.

The admission process will be based on an entrance exam. If you have completed LLB degree then you also need to complete the master's degree to sit for the entrance exam to pursue PhD.

So you should wait some times for the official notification (if any). Its probable that a third wave of covid is approaching to India as a result there are possibilities that the classes will be online as its going on. University of Madras offers both LLM (Masters) and Ph.D courses. For Masters (LLM) you need to be a LLB graduate and for Ph.D course, you need to be a Master's Graduate. For any of the courses, the admission process is same. You need to visit the official website and fill the application form. Later you will have to give an entrance exam.
