I want entrance exam syllabus for upes oat endineering college

You can take admission in UPES college by UPESEAT, Board merit and JEE Main Merit.

Below is the eligibility criteria through different exam

UPESEAT

Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th)

Board Merit

Admissions through Board Merit - Minimum 80% marks in class 10th, 80% marks in class 12th and also have an aggregate of 80% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class 12th.

JEE Merit

Admissions through JEE Main Merit - Minimum 60% marks in class 10th, 60% marks in class 12th and also have an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class 12th with JEE Main Score (Cut off to be declared after JEE mains Results)

Upto 20% seats shall be filled through Board Merit / JEE Main Merit category. In case of seats following vacant in this category; UPES has the right to fill these through UPES Examination

Is 7 months enough for UPESEAT preparation?

Yes, it is possible to crack UPESEAT in 7 months as below I am providing few points which you can consider for your preparation as well -

Syllabus of UPESEAT is almost same as JEE MAIN so if you are preparing for Jee then you will find the UPESEAT relatively easy. So it is advisable to understand NCERT's concepts properly.

Better to create a time table so that you can complete the syllabus on time.

Apart from PCM, questions from English and current affairs are also asked. Candidates should practice them all properly.

Aspirants will need speed and precision to solve UPESEAT efficiently.

You should solve various sample papers following the time constraint and analyse the performance after every test.

You will have to be very careful about the weightage of topics as Co - ordinate geometry is one of the key which have been asked extensively in UPESEAT and thus should be given more emphasis.

There is no provision of negative marking so candidates should be fast enough to attempt all the 200 questions in order to maximise their score. Also, this can be done through solving more sample papers.

If the answers are not available online then you can simply find out a way to discuss the same with your faculty, seniors or so.

You shall have to look for the booklet if answers are available in nearby book shop along with sample papers.

What are the cut off marks and rank of UPESEAT to get APE-Upstream in UPES?

There is no set criteria in ranking system for the branches. Counselling is done on the basis of rank you secured in UPESEAT. I can help you with the cutoff rank in UPES for APE -UPSTREAM which was approximately under 2000 last year. For further information you can go through with given below link.

With this rank the chances are less to get admission for Oil & Petroleum but you can try for other branches like CSE, civil etc.

You have less chances for the top branches like Petroleum, CSE-CCVT, CSE-OSS, CSE-Mainframe, CSE-Cyber security, ADE, Aerospace. But you can try for other branches like Electrical, electronics, power systems, ICE, Mechanical etc.
