I am scoring 520 in neet 2021, I am from up and in OBC category? can i get any medical college in up or in any state

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th Sep, 2021

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict because cut off  depends upon various factors like

------------) number of students that appeared in the neet exam,

------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,

------------)  toughness level of the neet examination

------------)  number of seats available etc

When we go through previous data then

With 520 marks,

You hold  a  low chance in a Government Medical College

For example,

in neet  2020, 606 marks for obc category was the cut off marks  to get a seat in Govt. Medical College   under UP  state quota and it was for Autonomous State Medical College and Associated Teaching Hospital, Bahraich

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up/amp

You have chances in private medical college under UP state quota which are listed below with their 2020 cut off for mbbs seat  :-

----------) Sri Rammurti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly:- 491 marks

----------)School of Medical Sciences and Research, Greater Noida :- 448 marks

----------) Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital, Bareilly:- 388 marks

And a few more

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon many factors as mentioned earlier, so to have a clear picture of the colleges in which you have chances and

to get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

im urmi from up i got 510 marks in neet 2021 i belong obc category can i get kmc .. plzz tell me

Sumedha Bhattacharya 15th Sep, 2021

Dear Urmila,

According to your NEET marks and caste category , you have good chances to get admission/seat in  KMC, Manipal with BDS degree. Your rank may be lie between 89819 - 106969 , as per previous year Marks vs ranks comparison data records .

Use this NEET rank predictor for any clarifications:

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor

But, with this marks/rank .. you have less chances to get MBBS seat in this college as the cut off trends of this college  for MBBS was quite tough in  previous year cut off trends .

Well, though every  year's cutoff of NEET depends on some following factors :

  • No of Students appeared for exam
  • Seat Matrix
  • Difficulty level  of exam

But, you can still use this NEET college predictor link to know your confirmation of chances of getting  your desired as well as other medical colleges with your preferred degree :

Hope this information helps !

best wishes !!

Srija Mitra 14th Sep, 2021

Hi,

Since you have not mentioned the name of the examination where you got 75 percentile, nor did you mention the name of the course or the name of the college, it is very difficult to predict whether you will get admission in the college of your choice.

I am from OBC category UP. I have 64 percentile in JEE Main can I get in state Engineering College, UP?

sknathani75 14th Sep, 2021

Hello Himanshu,

According to your percentile, you rank will be around 368280 - 414000 as per our rank predictor.
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_rp

There are very low chances to get a college at this rank or you will get low level colleges with low branch. But you can get good private colleges in Uttar Pradesh:
1. AKGEC Ghaziabad
2. Galgotias University
3. Amity University.
4. GNIOT

Hope this will help you
Thank you!

I am from OBC category UP. I have 64 percentile in JEE Main2021, can I get in state Engineering College in UP?

Atul Singh 14th Sep, 2021

Dear Student,

There are lot more private colleges in UP where you can take admission direct or through counselling. Your percentile is not that much good so that it will be more better if you take direct admission in any good college with management quota.

And if you want to participate in counselling then you can get many average colleges like-

  • United Prayagaraj
  • GNIOT Greater Noida
  • IIMT Greater Noida
  • MIET Meerut
  • NIET Greater Noida
  • IPEC Ghaziabad
  • SRMU Lucknow
  • Axis Kanpur
  • etc.

You can predict some other good colleges according to your rank through this link.

i got 38000 rank in up polytechnic group e i can get government college

Ranjan shah 14th Sep, 2021

As your rank is 38000 in up polytechnic and this is very low rank to get a seat in up polytechnic college so if you want to go for private colleges then go for it if you want government college then you have to prepare for the next year up polytechnic exam and you score a very good rank near about 10,000 to 15,000 then you get a  government college

try next time harder to get government college

i have wrongly fill up the category section in neet form up. can i re submit the form with different number and email id.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 5th Aug, 2021

Hi

You don't need to worry dear ,you don't need to fill a fresh application form even if you have chosen wrong category in your neet  application form because you can correct your category using Neet correction window .

You can correct details like :

  • >>>> personal details like your name, your father's name, mother's name , category you belong to etc

  • >>>> medium or language of your Neet examination paper

  • >>>> choice of cities for examination centre

  • >>>> academic details of 10th, 11th and 12th like percentage obtained , passing year, school name etc

  • >>>> you can also change uploaded images.

Neet correction window will open on 8th August and the last date to use it is 12th August.

Here's how you can use correction window:-

*Visit neet.nta.nic.in

* login using your application number and password

* you will see an option by “ click here  for corrections in the neet application form”, click on it

*now you can edit / correct your details.

*After making correction, for future references , take a printout of your correction slip .

To know in detail about correction window you can check out our page for which link is given below:-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-application-form-correction-guide

When you change your category, from a  category for which application fee is less to a category for which application fee is more  . Then you have to pay the extra amount equal to the difference in the amount of application fee for the two categories.

For example,

While changing the category from obc to general.

Extra amount to be paid

=Application fee for general - Application fee for obc

= 1500 - 1400 = Rs 100.

Thank you

i will score 520 in neet 2021 from UR catagory Uttar Pradesh. can i get a bams seat in bhu??.. or any govt bds college in up????

rajeevanand843 14th Sep, 2021

Hello

BHU is one of the most prestigious college to read in BAMS course. So it's cut off goes very high.

Last year cut off for Gen category in BHU, BAMS was 598 marks & AIR 20615. In 2019 it was 563 marks and Air 18957.

So you will have to come under 20k rank to have chance in this college.

At your marks ranks will be higher than this. So you will have no chance BHU, BAMS.

In uttar pradesh you have rare chances of getting govt BDS college at this marks.

Although you have pretty well chances of getting other govt BAMS college through state quota counselling.

Use NEET UG college predictor tool to know your other admission possibilities for MBBS, BDS & Ayush courses.

Hope This information helps you and clear your doubt.

I want to know if someone who hasnt studied 11 and 12 seriously and thus doesnt know much about the topics covered in every subjects(PCM) then is it good to take a year drop preapare for the topics or is it possible to go in college and then cover the topics without messing up the college study.

Purbayan Chatterjee 5th Aug, 2021

Hi aspirant,

This is a really good question and to be very frank, its you who will be the best judge. Let me however, share some insights that might help you to make this decision.

Firstly, it is okay not to have a very good grip over the +2 subjects provided you are very clear what you want to do in life.

For Example: If you see yourself as a software developer, will your knowledge in PCM be really that helpful? No, right? You need to develop your coding skills and logic and you're good to go.

Also, most companies nowadays really aren't bothered to which college you belong from till you are skillful.

Again, if you are aiming for Core Industries, then college status do matter somewhat as lower tier colleges often do not have the infrastructure resulting in not many Core companies visiting the campus.

Also, if you're someone who doesn't really have a clear goal as to what you want to do in future, then enrolling to a better tier college do play a significant role.

All these being said, its now entirely up to you what you would like to do.

Choose wisely, and all the best.

In neet 2021 i got 565 and i m from uttarpradesh so can i get any government college in up or in any other state

riteshkandpal499 14th Sep, 2021
Hello aspirant
Hope you are doing well
It is difficult to predict the cut off marks or ranks but according to previous year trends your expected rank would lie between 43422 - 50021 but it may vary every year depending on the following factors
1. Level of question paper
2. Total no of candidates
3. Category of candidate
4. Total no of seats
5. Marks obtained by students
Here is the link for the expected marks vs ranks
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank
You have not mentioned your category so assuming you are from general category So according to previous years the cutoff marks for government college in up is more than 550 marks
So you have chances to get seat in government medical colleges.
Here you can check the previous year cut off marks
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up
You can use college predictor tool to know about the colleges you can get
https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor
