i have karetoconus in my both eyes am i eligible for govt. jobs and ias/ips ???

Moumoyee Chakraborty 29th Jan, 2022

Dear Candidate though it is very hard to admit but if you have already dreamt of becoming an IPS/IAS officer then you have to pass both physical and mental health checkups. However if your keratoconus is under curable condition then you can opt for both the jobs unless your vision is blurred. But if the condition is too severe to degenerate the corneal tissues then you may not achieve the fitness certificate for selection.

Hope you get well and fulfill your dream

Good luck!!!

after 10th which steps do i take to reach my goal(IAS) please give me the answer

mrinalini048 26th Jan, 2022

Hey!

After your 10th grade, you can pick any of the arts or humanities, commerce, or science streams based on your interests for your 10 + 2 and ultimately graduation. This is because you do not have to be a graduate in a certain field to be eligible for UPSC examinations; all you need to be eligible is a graduate in any discipline, therefore you are free to complete 10+2 and graduation in any subject. To be eligible for the UPSC Civil Services exam, one must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university, as mandated by under the law.

IAS Educational qualification

Bachelor's degree (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Tech etc.) with at least one of the subjects notely Animal Husbandry and  Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognised or acknowledged university or college.

What you can start doing from 10th onwards is reading daily newspapers for enhancement in your general knowledge and current affairs. Whatever stream you would choose after your 10th, you will have to focus on the subjects so as to strengthen your core knowledge of the subject.

If you pursue your career as IAS after MBBS, what advantages will you get with the mbbs degree as an IAS? Will you still be still be able to work as a doctor or your main job will be IAS and you will just use your doctors degree for charity?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 20th Jan, 2022

See many MBBS professionals are working as IAS officers. The main advantage in this are as an IAS you will be more sensitive to the Hospital Facilties, you will be able to judge about the disputes that may occur in Hospital structures more than any other field graduates. Also as you are a doctor and as you have a lot of interactions with the patients, so your people skills will be better and will have kindness in it, which comes inbuild a quality. So this are some of the advantages which you will get.  Also when you are posted to as a Secretary then you will have better chances to go for the Health Departments.

And yeah! If you are a registered doctor and if you want to work as a Doctor for Charity then you can obviously do that without any doubt.
