Hello Dear,

You can not compare both UPSC and SSC. UPSC provides class A services and SSC provides Class B government Job. You can become a gazetted officer after clearing UPSC but after SSC you need to wait for 14 years and promotion.

Both the exams has very tough competition.

Hi Dear,

In my opinion, you should go for bachelor's degree in Economics over B. Pharmacy as BA in economics will help you in subjects of UPSC. Other bachelor courses which you can consider are as follows:

  • BA in sociology,
  • BA in history,
  • BA in political science
  • BA in Hindi

Definitely yes. The eligibility criteria for UPSC exam states that the candidate must have completed graduation degree in any subject discipline from a recognised university. So, after b.tech, you will be considered a graduate and thus, can prepare and apply for UPSC exam.

Hi Dipak,

You can appear for UPSC exam with having studied from any stream. There is no particular stream which is mandatory for UPSC exams. However, if you are in class 11th, then I'll recommend you to go for humanities/arts stream in class 11th and 12th as subjects taught there
