I have 490 marks in neet 2020 and I belongs to uttarakhand. can I get admission in private college without donation

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 9th Oct, 2020

You haven't mentioned your Category. Nevertheless, in 2019 under State Quota, the cut offs for various Categories have been as follows:

General Category: 526

EWS:480

OBC: 503

SC:358

ST: 404

So if you belong to General Category/OBC/EWS, you might have a chance for a Government Quota seat in Private Medical College. But if you belong to Reserved Categories, you might get a seat in GMC. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Now also I can get admission in karnataka private medical colleges under state quota for MBBS under 418 Marks though I am from uttarakhand general category???if yes so name the colleges??

Anurag Khanna 17th Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

As you belongs to state other than Karnataka so you can get only management quota seats in Karnataka. So on such marks and category you have good chances of getting management quota seats in some medical colleges in Karnataka under state quota according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you can get following colleges :-

  • Khwaja Bande Nawaz Institute Of Medical Sciences, Gulbarga
  • Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur, Mandya Dist.
  • Al-Ameen Medical College, VIJAYAPUR

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-karnataka

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I got CS in SLIET punjab ,, as well as in GBPU Pantnagar uttarakhand ..... so which one is best college for me .please suggest it,s very difficult situation for me ..... my home state is uttarakhand please tell teachers

ayanmukherjee045 17th Nov, 2020

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that you are confused about choosing the college between the these two.

Considering your home state is Uttrakhand i would surely recommend you to take gbpu Pantnagar as the parallel college which you got in Punjab doesn't stand out of the box in comparison to this college.

In your home state there will be much benefits and your return on investment will be good if you take this college.

I applied in Shree guru ram rai medical college for MBBS seat so I got management seat but I need state quota seat so can I get the seat in 2and round or mop with 418 Marks general category with uttarakhand domicile should I wait for it???

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th Nov, 2020

If your question was regarding a Government Quota seat in Shree Guru Ram Medical College, in 20019, under State Quota, an All India Rank of 117920 with 411 marks secured a seat as the cut off. But Compared to 2019, the NEET 2020 cut offs have changed considerably higher than expected. With the top score being 720 which is 19 marks greater than 2019's top score, it is difficult to predict chances. And when cut offs have increased considerably, with a narrow margin of 7-8 marks, a seat under Government Quota in the same College might be difficult, Vibha. You might get a Government Quota seat in a Private Dental College. For a complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please use our College predictor: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer .

I have applied in uttarakhand neet counseling general category with uttarakhand domicile with 418 score so in 1st round I got management seat from SGRR medical college but I need state quota seat so I should wait for mop up round???

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th Nov, 2020

In 2019, under State Quota, 480 was the cut off for General Category and so with 418 marks expecting a seat in GMC might be tad difficult. Though this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam, the highest NEET score this year is 720 only to increase the cut offs further. So with this score, a seat in GMC even with State domicile might be difficult. is there registration for 2nd round in uksee (uttarakhand counselling)? I dont register for 1st round due to lack of information.

Jay Singh 29th Oct, 2020

Hi. I don't think that you will be able to apply in the second round . In any of the counseling you attend you have to apply it before the beginning of first round. No counseling allows you to apply for it once it has started. If you had some genuine reasons, then try to mail them .They might help you if they find the reason to be genuine enough.

Regards.
