Hi,
Choosing between IIIT ECE with VLSI & Embedded Systems and VIT Chennai CSE-AI depends on your career goals. If you’re interested in hardware design, chip manufacturing, and embedded systems IoT, robotics, electronics R&D , ECE with VLSI is future-proof demand for chip engineers is growing with India’s semiconductor push. However, if you love coding, machine learning, and software development, CSE-AI offers a broader IT career path with booming demand in AI/ML fields. Placement stats also matter VIT has strong industry links for IT roles, while IIITs often have niche but high-paying core electronics placements. Also compare location, fees, and alumni network. If unsure, check if your interest leans more toward circuits or code that usually decides the fit.
Thank you, and best wishes for your decision
Hello Aspirant,
If you have a compartment in Physics again in your 12th, this means that you will need to write the compartment exam and pass it to be eligible to declare as having completed your 12th standard. In terms of Yojana credits (such as Academic Bank of Credits or skill-related schemes), it is usually only applicable after you've successfully completed the subject.
So, for now, it seems that you won't be eligible for any of those credits until you complete your compartment. I don't think you would have to re-study your overall syllabus but you would have to focus on building up on your weaknesses in Physics.
Hi Khushi,
Yes, with a CGPA of 8.63, you're definitely eligible to apply for PG in Life Sciences or Zoology, especially if you meet the basic subject criteria in graduation. About your DUPGET score (38) if this is for Dibrugarh University, the cutoff varies slightly each year. Last year, for general or open category, cutoffs for Zoology were around 45–50 marks. So with 38, your chances might be low for the first list, but there’s always hope in later rounds or waiting list.
You can still apply you never know how many students accept seats, also apply to other universities with PG Zoology like Tezpur, Gauhati, or NEHU for better options.
Hope this helps you!
Hii,
Let’s clear up one thing first VIT-AP doesn’t admit students through AP EAPCET ranks for CSE, ECE, or any other stream. It conducts its own entrance exam (VITEEE) and also has a management quota. So even with a rank of 39,917 in EAPCET, you won't be eligible for VIT-AP’s B.Tech CSE/CSM/ECE via counselling.
But don’t worry you still have good options. With this rank, you can:
Just keep checking the official counselling portal and participate in all rounds, especially spot admissions.
All the best!
The final phase cutoff for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at VIT-AP in 2024 varied depending on the category and the specific CSE specialization.
For Category 1, ranks up to 15,000 were generally considered for CSE, while higher categories (2-5) could extend to 50,000-70,000 or even 110,000-120,000 for specializations like AI, data science, and cybersecurity.

Hello,
Yes, the NDA, or National Defence Academy exam, is conducted in both English and Hindi. The questions of these exams are printed in both English and Hindi text. In this exam there are two section in offline mode; these two are Mathematics and General Knowledge.
I hope it clears your query!!
With 33781 rank, chances in VIT Vellore main campus are low, but you might get:
VIT Bhopal or VIT AP in lower-demand branches.
For VRSEC (Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology), you may get some branches depending on category and local rank in AP EAMCET.
Congrats to your daughter for securing seats in both Gitam Vishakhapatnam and VIT AP both are reputed private universities with strong infrastructure and academics.
So, if she’s interested in Data Analytics and wants to explore more targeted skillsets, VIT-AP would be a forward-looking choice. If she prefers a traditional route with flexibility in specialization later, Gitam is equally good.
All the best for her bright future!
