Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore
Good afternoon,VIT Pune officially does not offer any management quota seats. All regular engineering admissions are conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) based on JEE Main or MH-CET scores.
Multiple sources, including official statements from the institute, confirm that management quota admissions were discontinued around 2019 and reinstated again. As of now, there is no formally recognized management quota
Here's a better comparison of both GITAM and VIT-AP:
- GITAM: Older College established in Andhra Pradesh, mostly focus on traditional computer science, average placement is about 4-5 LPA with top recruiters TCS, Wipro, Capgemini. Traditional infrastructure with beautiful coastal campus. Fees ranging around 2-2.5 LPY.
- VIT-AP is newly established and a part of VIT group that holds better brand value nationally. They offer more future scope courses that includes Python, R, data mining, AI etc. Average placement range is 4.5-6.5 LPA with recruiters that includes Infosys, Deloitte and Microsoft. Moder infrastructure with innovative, coding culture & tech events. Fees is same as GITAM.
Choose VIT-AP if your daughter is interested in data science or Moder techs, with better National exposure, better placement.
And choose GITAM for traditional CSE path with stable campus environment.
Hello
yes, do not need to e worry because with your SC rank (~7,000), you should be able to secure a free (government quota) seat at VIT-AP Amaravati, particularly in CSE or other core engineering branches.
Hello Aspirant,
Thanks for reaching out!
With the rank of 3811 in AP EAMCET 2025 and belonging to the RWS category, you have a good chance of gettin ECE at VIT-AP. Based on the previous years cut-offs the closing rank for ECE at VIT-AP has gone beyond your rank,so you are likely to secure a seat especially in the second round or subsequent rounds of councelling. Make sure to fill in your choices wisely and attend all counselling rounds to improve your chances.

Between VIT-AP (Bhimavaram campus does not exist, you may mean VIT-AP Amaravati) offering IT (Information Technology) and SRKR Engineering College (Bhimavaram) offering AIDS (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), here is a simple comparison to help you:
VIT-AP (IT Course) It is part of the VIT group, which has a national brand name. VIT-AP is new but growing. IT course at VIT gives good exposure to coding, software development, internships, and projects. VIT also has centralized placement from Vellore main campus which supports AP campus to an extent. Facilities are modern. Some big companies do visit.
SRKR (AIDS Course) SRKR is a well-established college in Andhra Pradesh. The AIDS course is new but becoming popular. SRKR has a strong academic base, and local companies do come for placements. The AIDS course focuses more on machine learning, AI, and future tech. Teaching is good but placements are more limited compared to VIT.
Which is better? If you want a better campus, national brand, and more chances for software jobs, choose VIT-AP IT. If you want to stay local and focus on AI-related career and are okay with medium-level placements, then SRKR AIDS is also a good choice.
For future growth, VIT-AP IT may give you more exposure and flexibility for higher studies or job opportunities.

Hello Sudhakar,
Your EAMCET rank is 7549 and you belong to the BC-B category, you have decent chances to get CSE with AI & ML at VIT-AP, especially in later rounds of counselling. However, cutoffs are not fixed and change every year based on a number of factors like available seats, number of candidates applied and category-wise distributions. So keep your horizon open and also consider backup branches.
With a rank of 19743 in AP EAPCET 2025 AU region and BC-D category female, your chances of getting a core CSE seat in VIT-AP via the AP EAPCET counselling are minimal with that rank since vit-ap require less than 3000 rank for cse or its specializations.
But, if VIT-AP has a management quota or spot admission process, you can consider that for CSE or its specializations. In addition, it’s a good idea to check with the college admission office directly to verify the admission routes .
Dear aspirant,
With your EAPCET rank of 3811 you have a good chance of getting ECE at VIT AP especially if you're aiming for the regular ECE program and not necessarily a specialized ECE branch. VIT AP generally offers ECE in Category 1 and 2, and your rank is likely to fall within those categories. It's better to check the official VIT AP website for specific cutoff information from previous years or you can visit this link attached below for more information.
Thank you

VIT AP is a private university located in Andhra Pradesh and it falls under the APSCHE regulations for unaided institutions. Therefore CAP quota is applicable there as well. If you belong to defence personnel family and fulfil domicile rules, you may apply under CAP category at VIT AP during counselling and seat allotment process .You just need to provide proper documents like defence service certificate, CAP domicile proof, and other papers at the time of admission. They will give you seat under CAP category and you will pay fees like others. This is good opportunity for students from military families in Andhra Pradesh.
Hello,
Between VIT Chennai and SRM Kattankulathur for Electronics Engineering with VLSI specialisation, VIT Chennai is generally better in terms of:
Placements: VIT has a slightly better placement record, especially for core electronics and VLSI roles.
Core companies: More core and semiconductor companies like Intel, NXP, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments tend to visit VIT (mostly Vellore, but some do come to Chennai as well).
Reputation: VIT has better industry recognition and alumni network in the core field.
So, if you are focused on VLSI and core job roles, VIT Chennai is a better option than SRM Kattankulathur .
Hope it helps !
