Hello,

Sorry to say Karthikeya ,but the date of online application (VITMEE) for applying in M.tech in vit has been closed now.You may apply to other colleges or try next year.Elgibilty criteria is to have 70% minimum marks in PCM in 12th and age limit is born on or after 1 july,1999.You may check the link below for more details about the dates and application process.I hope it helped.

Where counseling held for vit,only at vellore

Hello Apoorv,
VITEEE counseling process is held every year in all the Vellore Institute of Technology campuses.
Campuses are at following locations :-
1) Vellore
2) Chennai
3) Amaravati
4) Bhopal
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducts the VITEEE 2019 counselling process. The VITEEE counselling 2019 was conducted on May 9, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 15 at VIT Vellore, Chennai, Amaravathi and Bhopal Campuses.
The was a separate round of VITEEE 2019 counselling conducted on June 1 and 2 for the left over seats. Candidate who were declared qualified in the entrance exam were eligible to attend the VITEEE 2019 counselling at any of the counselling venue.
Seats were allotted to candidates on the basis of candidates score in VITEEE 2019. The candidates were required to report at the designated venue for VITEEE counselling 2019 on the scheduled time according to their ranks.

As you might already know,
Vellore Institute of Technology has four campuses in the country:- Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, Amaravati.

With a rank of about 44,000 you could get a seat at Vellore campus of Vellore Institute of Technology.
But not for the branches that are highly in demand like Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication engineering.
May be for production and industrial engineering branch.
At Chennai campus you may get fashion technology.

VITEEE Scholarship Categories are as follows:-
Category 1 : rank (1 to 20,000)
Category 2 : rank (20,001 to 40,000)
Category 3 : rank (40,001 to 65,000)
Category 4 : rank (65,001 to 99,999)
Category 5 : rank (1 lakh and above)
As you can observe from the above information that you belong to Category 3.

BIT Mesra IT or VIT Vellore CSE? Which is better?

Hello there
In any case, go for BIT Mesra because it is a deemed university and far far ahead than VIT VELLORE in terms of infrastructure, placements, faculties or academics.
Though both of them are private universities but BIT Mesra is one of the top private colleges of India and in every aspect, is much better than VIT. You will get all the facilities of a good engineering college here.
So without any doubt, Go for BIT MESRA.

Yes, the candidate is eligible for viteee examination given that the status of the qualifying exam should be appearing or appeared.
Along with this there are other criteria for admission into vit, which includes that one should qualify the ranks according to the branch which they want to get admitted into. There are more criteria, but for any Indian that is true.

In what branch could I get a seat in VIT Vellore and Chennai campuses if my rank is around 49000? Also, what would be my fees?

Hello Student,
Vellore Institute of Technology has four campuses in the country.
VIT Vellore and Chennai are older campuses and are very reputed too.
Your rank of approximately 49,000 in VITEEE 2019 cannot get you a seat in the popular branches like CSE, ECE, IT, MECHANICAL at the prestigious VIT Vellore campus.
*You might get production and industrial engineering seat.
Try for Chennai campus. But Chennai too has high cutoffs so it is difficult to get a good branch.
*You might get Fashion Technology seat.
So basically getting a good branch at both these campuses is very difficult for your rank.

Hello Jayyavarshini,

Vellore Institute of Technology engineering entrance examination is held every year for admission into the prestigious institution of VIT in all of its branches around the country.
The most reputed one is as Vellore.

Vellore campus offers Biotechnology and Biomedical engineering branch.

The expected cutoff rank for Biotechnology course in VIT Vellore is around 20,000 in VITEEE 2019.
And for Biomedical engineering course, it is expected to be under 40,000 all India rank in VITEEE 2019.

You've few chances of getting Biomedical engineering at Vellore.

Based on the rank you have secured you have less chances to get Admission at VIT University Vellore campus, but For your rank you have maximum chances to get admission at VIT University, Chennai campus. Mostly you have chances to get Computer Science And Engineering at VIT University, Chennai campus. The tution fee at Chennai campus is 1,98,000/- per year. In terms of faculty, facilities and all both the Vellore campus and chennai campus are mostly similar because both of the universities are equally recognised and has their own priority.
