My kcet ranking is 11,000 in veterinary section can i get seat categorie is sc

KanishqVerma 27th May, 2019

Hello,

You have little chances of getting veterinary section with this rank.

As per previous years cutoff one has to secure 2000-3000 rank for general category.

You can easily get this branch if you are also having home state quota.

You can check previous years cutoff to get a better idea.

Do we get seat in veterinary science if kcet rank is 22567

Saikrishnaa 29th May, 2019

Hi ,

In all India the total seats are just 400 - 500 for this course. BVSc course has been included in KCET from 2018 . A rank of 1700 - 1800 will get you a seat for BVSc in General merit.  Rank depends upon marks scored in PCB in KCET and  of 12th board .

With a rank of 22567 , it is almost impossible to get a free seat even with reservation.

The category wise cutoffs are :

General: 50%    General OPH : 45%     OBC/SC/ST : 40%

You can check these links to know the closing ranks of allotments by VCI and cutoffs to various pharmaceutical colleges in karnataka.

Which field should i prefer either engineering or veterinary after 12th?

Ayisha Siddiqa H 27th May, 2019
Hii !!
The field you choose totally depends upon your interests. The both the field you have mentioned are completely opposite.
In case of engineering you will be living life with machines, circuits, buildings, softwares and operating all of them throughout your life. You will be surrounded by wonders made by the mankind.
In case if veterinery you will more or less be engaged with nature and its blessings.
Choose which you find interesting because at the end it is interest that all matters.
However in case of marks and placements, unless you perform well in both the courses,  you won't excel. There are equal difficulties,  pros and cons in both the field. Choice is yours.
Don't lose hope !!
Best of Luck !!

Hi, Shweta.

To get admission to 449 veterinary seats in the government colleges, the candidates who wants to join the veterinary have to qualify NEET entrance exam,  15% seats will be reserved for All India Quota candidates, which will be granted on the basis of scores of NEET 2019 result.

NTA will announce the result of NEET 2019 by June 5. Candidates require the minimum qualifying percentile will be deemed to be eligible for counselling process under 15% All India Quota seats, 85% state quota, deemed/central universities and private colleges.

For your rank of 14000, I think you'll not be able to get into the government colleges, but you can try for the second counselling.
