How to get admission in veterinary college ??

Vidhita Sachdeva 29th Apr, 2019

Hello!

The basic eligibility criteria required to get admission in veterinary college for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.), is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. The Veterinary Council of India conducts an All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) which is an All India Common Entrance Examination held each year in the month of May for filling up of seats in each veterinary college.15% of the total seats from each college will be filled on the basis of common entrance examination. The eligible candidates will be shortlisted for AIPVT 2019 on the basis of All India Rank secured in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) exam. For more details regarding AIPVT, visit the link provided below-

https://www.google.com/amp/s/medicine.careers360.com/articles/aipvt/amp

Admission to rest 85% seats are filled by State quota which will be done by respective state counselling authorities. Some universities also conduct a separate entrance examination to get admission to their B.V.Sc. & A.H degree course. In these colleges, the selection to this course is purely based on the final merit, i.e. total aggregate marks in entrance exam and the board exam of 10+2.
