Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune
Hello candidate, for private colleges their entrance tests also matter so try to get good results in their test. But with this percentile you cannot manage to get good branch im these colleges.
Best of luck!
As per NIRF rankings by MHRD, Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology supersedes United Group by a far bigger margin.
Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology is NAAC A graded, AICTE approved and has better academic and placement ratings than United Group.
Good companies have visited United Group of Institution like TCS, HCL, Byjus and have hired in huge numbers while in Vishwakarma Institute, inspite of the regular mass recruitors like accenture, infosys, cognizant even google and adobe had come for placements. Average package has been about 3-3.5 lpa in vishwakarma

Hello Aspirant
Government funded technical institutes (GFTIs) are those institutions that are either partially or fully funded by the government (center or state). These institutions offer B.Tech and BE degrees. JOSAA, by default, handles the admissions of most centrally funded Technical institutions (CFTIs). These are the IITs, NITs, IIITs (both fully funded by the Govt. or the those in PPP mode). Indian Institute of Information Technology, place : is an institute either fully funded by the Central Govt (in Allahabad, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Kanchipuram, and Kurnool), or those in PPP mode (currently 19 of them), all owned by the Central Govt. All other IIITs are not funded by the central govt. fully or partially, and are not called “Indian ……”. IIIT Hyderabad (owned by a Trust), IIIT Bangalore (owned by a Trust), IIIT Naya Raipur (owned by the Chattisgarh Govt), IIIT Bhubaneswar (owned by the Govt. of Odisha) are International Institutes of Information Technology; IIIT Delhi is Indraparshtha Institute of Information Technology (owned by the Delhi Govt.)
VIT
VIT has 105+ clubs and chapters. And you can join whatever chapter or club you like, work with them gain experience, learn team building skills. You will get all the facilities and guidance in vit but it's upto you how you utilise opportunities available.
VIT has a FFCS(Fully Flexible Credit System) which allows you to select your courses by your own in any semester provided you are done with it's pre-requisite. You can choose your preferred professor and venue. The infrastructure is impressive. Faculties are appreciative. The atmosphere is amazing! You get to meet a lot of new people after coming here. You can find students from every corner of India and many from abroad too
Both the institutes are pretty good. For the branch Computer Science, both the institutes are well-sought for. Overall, GFTI is better than VIT. GFTI is better as it has more education oriented approach and the atmosphere is more academic.
