Sourav singh 19th Sep, 2021

Hi Aryaman,

Based on your category rank, under All India seat you might NOT be able to get into majority of NITs under Other State quota. However, you may have a good chance in Home State quota depending on the state. I will advice you to use our College Predictor tool for JEE Mains to help you in finding college and branch of your choice based on your merits in the exam.

is their any risk if a non domicile student wants to take admission in vit pune / kj somaiya / vjti through mhtcet 2021 if he isnt eligible for jee mains...risk word used because what if they dont allow non domicile students since only 15% is available for non domicile students

Shrishty sahu 31st Jan, 2021
Dear student,
There would be a high competition for mon domicile students to get a seat in the top colleges. However if you are not eligible for jee mains then you must apply for mhtcet to get admission in the mentioned colleges and score really good. The number of seats might be very less for non domicile students but that does not mean that the colleges do not take non domicile students. Non domicile students surely get admission but only the ones who scored really high in the examination. So if you think that you will perform well then don't think about these factors and just give your best.

Ronak Gala Student Expert 29th Dec, 2020

Prefer Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute over all the other colleges, it has got some amazing placements and its pretty well known even in other countries. Completing your btech graduation from this Institute is a pride in itself. So if you have this opportunity, dont miss out on this.

does year of passing out matters for admission in private colleges like bit mesra , vjti , vit vellore during counselling ?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 27th Dec, 2020

Hey

Yes it does matter when you passed your 12th standard while taking admission in colleges like BIt or VJTI or VIT during counselling. If you have a drop year they will ask you about it and you will be required to provide a gap year certificate too. It will not matter a lot if the gap was due to drop taken for studying in institutes (preparing for JEE etc) as most students do it. However if the drop was due to any illegal behaviour then it might be a disadvantage.

It all depends on the reason taken for the drop written in the drop certificate.
