Hi I wanted to choose electronics engineering in vlsi design and technology. Which college would be better to choose. Manipal banglore, VIT-AP or SRM KTR. Hoping for best reply

Vasundhra 18th May, 2025

Dear Candidate,
All three institutes offer robust programs in VLSI Design and Technology . Your choice may depend on specific preferences:
-MIT Manipal - Ideal for those seeking a program closely aligned with national initiatives like semiconductor mission , with strong industry collaborations.
-VIT-AP - Suitable for students aiming for high placement packages and international exposure.
-SRM-AP - Best for those looking for high placement rates and opportunities in both VLSI and Embedded Systems .

DO CONSIDER FACTORS LIKE CURRICULUM,INDUSTRY EXPOSURE PLACEMENT RECORDS AND CAMPUS FACILITIES TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION.

I got 101981 rank viteee. So can it get seat in cse in vit-ap

vinayak Ramachandran 19th May, 2025

Hey!, Based on your rank, you still have a decent chance of getting CSE at VIT-AP, mainly under Category 4 or 5. These categories usually have higher cutoff ranks, so your rank fits in. Just remember, the fees will be higher compared to the lower categories. If you're comfortable with that and really want to pursue CSE, it's a good idea to keep VIT-AP as one of your top choices during counselling. Many students in similar rank ranges have secured seats this way, so don’t lose hope and go ahead with confidence. Good luck!

with a rank of 10650 in viteee can i get computer science branch in vit bhopal or vit ap

vinayak Ramachandran 19th May, 2025

Hey!, you have a really good chance of getting CSE at both VIT-AP and VIT Bhopal, most likely in Category 2 or 3. Your rank is well within the cutoff range for both campuses. Category 1 at VIT-AP might be tough, but not impossible if cutoffs go slightly higher this year. VIT Bhopal is usually more flexible, so chances there are even better. Just make sure to list these options during counselling. If you’re aiming for CSE, these are great choices to consider. Best of luck!

My rank is 1lakh 19k can I get ece in vit ap category 3

Tanisha chaudhary 16th May, 2025

HEY THERE!!!

With a VITEEE rank of 1,19,000, you will probably not get an ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) core seat in VIT-AP in Category 3.

Cutoff Trends for ECE at VIT-AP (Category 3)

  1. For VIT Vellore and Chennai, Category 3 cutoff for ECE is generally between 19,700 and 22,000.
  2. For VIT-AP and VIT Bhopal, the cutoffs are generally less stringent, but even then, core branches such as ECE generally close well before 1,19,000. For VIT-AP, ECE seats in Category 3 are frequently taken by ranks less than 50,000–60,000, and occasionally up to 80,000 in the final rounds, but not beyond that.

is it better to choose ece in vit vellore or chennai over cs in vit ap

Saurabh Yadav 16th May, 2025

Hii,

Depending on your future goals, you can choose between CS at VIT AP and ECE at VIT Vellore or Chennai. Numerous career options in IT, software, apps, and artificial intelligence (AI) are available to those with a strong interest in computer science (CS).

Older, larger campuses with better facilities and more company visits for placements are VIT Vellore and Chennai. Since VIT AP is a more recent campus, fewer companies may be visiting it at the moment for placements.

Choose CS at VIT AP if you enjoy computers, software, and coding. Choose ECE at VIT Vellore or Chennai if you enjoy electronics and want a vibrant campus environment. Both options may be beneficial, but consider your personal interests.

Here are the official websites for the VIT campuses you're interested in:

  • VIT Vellore: vit.ac.in (https://vit.ac.in/)

  • VIT Chennai: chennai.vit.ac.in (https://chennai.vit.ac.in/)

  • VIT AP: vitap.ac.in (https://www.vitap.ac.in/)

Vit ap me 12th 75 % and jee 43 %lie se admission hoga ya any vit me bhi

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

With 75% in 12th and 43% in JEE Mains, getting admission in VIT AP is possible because VIT mainly considers 12th marks for admission, especially if your JEE score is low. VIT has its own entrance exam (VITEEE) or direct admission based on board marks. You can also try other VIT campuses like VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai, where 12th percentage plays a big role. So yes, you have a good chance to get admission in VIT through your board marks.

hello everyone,my viteee rank is 42xxx what best choices i have ,please suggest my preference will be vit ap cse,cse specialization in cat 1 or 2 what chances i have many students have said to avoid vit bhopal so should i go if i get cse or cse specialization in cat 1 there

gopi 16th May, 2025

Hello Devansh,  With your VITEEE rank close to 42,000, it is very much possible for you to get CSE in VIT Vellore (CAT 1 or CAT 2) and possible for VIT AP contingent on the opening ranks for that year. CSE in VIT Vellore is very competitive, especially CAT 1, so it is more realistic to get a stream instead. VIT AP is growing, with areas of opportunity and growing, and better infrastructure than what was in the beginning. If you get CSE there as I indicated, the same thought process indicates that it is worth consideration.

Many students say to avoid VIT Bhopal due to it being new (less facilities) and less industry connections. It also does not compare, facility-wise and industry-wise, to VIT Vellore and VIT AP. However, getting CSE is most important and if everything else fails, braking VIT Bhopal is possible. My suggestion would be VIT Vellore (CAT 1 or CAT 2) if you got to sit for CSE or relevant stream. Otherwise, VIT AP is a strong second option. Avoid VIT Bhopal if you have better options.

Best of luck!
