Greetings of the day Samarth,
At first, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 26,000, you cannot get ECE seat in Vellore campus as the cut-off for the same was 14,500 in the year 2016. Whereas, you can secure an ECE , IT or any other seat in Chennai campus in 1st or 2nd fee categories itself.

You can have a look at the detailed cut-off statistics of the previous few years from the above link.
Hope I've cleared your doubt!!
All the best for your future endeavours
Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got 5.8k rank in viteee 2021 and you are wanting to take up cse branch in category 1. So, let me tell you that you would easily get computer science or any specialization in category 1 . But yes data science specialisation is a bit difficult to get in category 1 as it gets closed upto 5k.
But be rest assured that you will get computer science in category 1.
For more information you can check out the link given below -
Hello Jashwanth,
According to previous year's cut-offs you have decent chances of getting Computer Science Engineering branch in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore under Category 1 or 2 mostly. Your VITEEE Rank is some how near to previous year's cut-off range of Computer Science Engineering in VIT, Vellore. But Cutoffs differs from year to year. The cut-off vary from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appeared, difficulty level of the exam, number of seats available, category, etc. If you can get Computer Science Engineering in Category other than Category 1 then you have to pay additional fees along with regular Tution Fees as per the fees criteria given by VIT. If the cut-off is high this year then in that case you can get Computer Science Engineering course in VIT Vellore in Category 3.
Go through below given link for more information about VITEEE cut-offs.
I hope this may help you.
Good Luck!!
Greetings of the day dear Ranjith!!
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 77,000, you cannot get CSE, ECE or IT seats in Vellore and Chennai campuses in any fee category. Whereas, you can easily secure a CS, ECE or any other seat in their Amravati (AP) and Bhopal campuses in 1st or 2nd fee categories itself as these are recently established.
VIT AP and VIT Bhopal offer many specialisations in CSE branch such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security and Digital forensics, Gaming Technology, Health Informatics, Networking and Security, Data Analytics, Robotics, Business Systems. These courses are future ready and have high placement opportunities. You can opt for the one you like from these specialisations.
Hope I've cleared all your doubts!!
All the best for your future career
Hi Aspirant!
As we all know that VIT Ap and VIT Bhopal are newly established so you can get seat thereeasily. And as per the previous years records, generally CSE cutoff for category 1 for VIT Bhopal is under 30000 rank and for category 2 it is around 75K rank. So, you might fall under category -2 and can apply for CSE / IT seat at VIT Ap or Bhopal. For category 2 the fees is around 2.32 Lakh per annum and for category 3 it is about 3.5 Lakh per annum. Other than this, I would suggest you to look for other colleges where you can get CSE with less fee. also, the placement records for VIT Bhopal are not that much good as it is newly established.
Thankyou!
Hi Pranav,
The counselling for rank 1-20k has started today on the official website of Vellore institute of technology. During the procedure, candidates are required to fill at least 25 choices in order of their preferences. You can choose either of the campuses, courses and category for the fee. A seat would be allocated to you on that basis.
It is a very mere possibility that you wouldn't be allowed any seats as it is the first round for the counselling and currently all seats are available to be filled. However if you are not satisfied with the course alloted , then you may take part in next round too but by filling higher categories.
Hope it helps!!
Hi Aryan!
With 30k rank there are no chances for you to get CSE or IT at VIT Vellore campus (as per the previous years records) but you can definitely get CSE or IT at VIT Chennai. If you are comfortable with CSE at VIT Chennai then go for it. Or if you feel like you will be scoring good marks in SRMJEEE and will be able to get CSE then write SRMJEEE. Other than this, you are not confident in SRMJEEE, then I would suggest you to attend VIT counselling, get admission and after that if you get good marks in SRMJEEE and get your desired seat then you can leave the VIT. Do not forget to chcek the fee refund policy of VIT.
Dear student,
If we see cutoff of Mechanical Engineering and its sub-branch then we find that the maximum rank at which a student got the seat in VIT Vellore with these branches is around 25,000.
You can check the detailed cutoff by clicking on the link below.
With the rank you have mentioned, unfortunately it seems like you may not get Mechanical Engineering and its sub-branch in the central campus of VIT.
But you have some chances to get Production Engineering which is very similar to Mechanical engineering. In the recent previous year the cutoff for Production Engineering in the same college was around 53,000.
Please note that cutoff varies every year as it depends on various factor like difficulty level of exam, total number of seats, number of students appeared in examination and so on.
You can also try for other campus of VIT, and there you have very fair chance that you can get Mechanical branch.
To check the cutoff of other center of VIT, you can visit the link below.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the very best!
Hello Aspirant,
See you have to login from both the devices at the same time for appearing in VITEEE 2021 so your Laptop/PC and your smartphone should be with you during VITEEE 2021 and also you will be invigilated with both the devices. With the help of front camera of your phone they will be invigilating you and your surroundings so that you can't do some malicious/unfair thing which can lead to your rejection/disqualification.
This is the first time when VITEEE 2021 is going to be conducted in online proctored mode so according to the guidelines released by them yesterday regarding the remote proctored mode, the candidate should have two devices, primary one is Laptop/Desktop with web cam and secondary device as any smartphone with good quality front camera. They will be invigilating you and your environment with both the devices so make sure to keep your environment protected and silent otherwise if there would be any disturbance in your environment then it might lead to your disqualification.
For your reference some extra details about remote proctored mode, In remote proctored mode you have to appear for VITTEEE 2021 from your home and you should have one device either laptop/computer with web camera because during remote proctored mode you will be under invigilation through web camera in your device and you will not be allowed to leave the exam until and unless you submit it successfully and also you cannot copy any answer from any other website because at the time of examination you will not be allowed to change the tab or window otherwise you will be disqualified from the exam. This is all about Remote proctored mode.
So you should arrange both the devices before VITEEE 2021 and you can also attempt mock examination which will give you clarity of the way in which exam will be conducted on exam day. So it is much recommended to attempt the mock exam before the real examination.
Specifications for both the devices are mentioned in their notification which you can check out from the link given below :-
