According to your VITEEE Rank you have chances of getting decent branches in Vellore Institute of Technology Campus based on previous year's cut-offs. But it is difficult for your Rank to get CSE or CSE Specializations in VIT Vellore. But in other VIT Campuses you can try for it but may get in Category 2 to 5 where you need to pay additional fees along with regular Tution Fees every year expect for Category 1.

I can give you a rough idea about the branches you can get based on previous years records. And according to that you can avail any branch under category 3 with the mentioned rank except CSE and ECE in vellore campus. So, no doubt that you can get CSE in Chennai campus easily under catgory 3. But kindly note that the fee charges would be high as with the level of categories there is increment in the fee payment.

Firstly congrats on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. With a rank around 88,000 you can get a seat in VIT Amaravati campus in their Robotics specialisation. Its hard to predict the fee category as cut-off's change every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. Just participate in their counselling process and apply for CSE with specialisation in Robotics.

To get a seat in CSE in VIT Vellore campus, candidate must have rank under 5000 and for IT seat he/she must have rank under 9000 under category 1 (based on previous years records). But as you memtioned that you get rank around 17k , then yes you can still get CSE or IT in VIT Vellore campus but in category 3 or 4 not in category 1 or 2. Or else, you can try getting seat in other campus might be Chennai!

It is very difficult to predict it because cut-offs varies every year. It is difficult to get Computer Science Engineering branch in Vellore Institute of Technology in Campuses like Vellore or Chennai or Andhra Pradesh or Bhopal because your rank does not fall under previous cutoffs for Computer Science Engineering branch in these Campuses. The cutoffs varies from year to year and depends on many factors as well. But you have chances of getting Electronics and Communication Engineering in these Campuses either in Category 2 or 3.
You can try for category 4 or 5 for getting Computer Science Engineering branch in these Campuses but you have to pay additional Rs. 2.5 Lakhs every year for Category 5. In total every year you have to pay Rs. 5 Lakhs for the course. For 4 years you have to pay nearly Rs. 25 Lakhs.
