It is not possible to get category1 seat with 29k rank in Vit chennai.

Above rank of 20,000 really diminishes your chances of getting ECE/EEE at VIT Chennai in category 1.

But you may get them in category 2 or 3.

both of the campuses have their pros and cons but vellore being established earlier and having a good coding culture can be considered to have a slight edge above chennai. it also has better campus and extra-curricular activities going on.
