I would suggest you to go with Mechanical engineering branch at a good NIT. Because IT sector is declining currently and mechanical at NIT is a very good choice as many core companies visit in most of the NIT. And government job opportunities are also great in mechanical.

I don't see why would there be problem for a candidate of Indian origin to take any of these exams. You definitely without any doubt have the right to take these exams together. There examination dates rarely clash so that should not be a case to worry.
