Hello there
Well of course, if you are a government University/college professor ,then you will be awarded with paid vacations but in every job sector there is a maximum no.of days one can be on holiday and get paid .
Every University has its own rules and regulations regarding this .
You will be also get extra facilities in COMPARISON of Private University/college.
Working hours will be as per the need of teaching and completing the syllabus of the students but you will have to work less as comparison of any private University.
Hope it helps !
Doctors work as when required serving mankind for all 365 days a year. You may see a doctor doing just 7 hours of duty on general OPD Days or maybe more than 10 hours, when he'll be busy with serious or emergency cases. Doctors are perhaps trained rigorously to manage this pressure and deal with situations patiently without bothering the time.

Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got 91.6% in 10th and 75.2% in 12th and taking into consideration that you have secured 99.7 percentile in cat so let me tell you it's a very good percentile to grab iims.
So, because of your 12th percentage there will be a certain disadvantages because it has its own weightage. But you stand fair chances for NITIE ,xlri, iim Kozhikode and some lower iims and lastly also symbiosis.
Hi, The minimum requirements of a good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master’s level and qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET), or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test - SLET/SET), shall remain for the appointment of Assistant Professors. NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities / Colleges / Institutions.
An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. Hope this helps.
Hi Richie,
First and foremost, for IIMs (A/B/C) you need to score a very good percentile in CAT. Assuming you're a GEM (General category, Engineer and a Male), and have decent academic scores (i.e. 85% and above in your 10th and 12th and 80% and above in your graduation) your percentile should be no less than 99.4 - 99.5.
Now, coming to specific B-Schools. IIM C gives less importance to your past academics and more to CAT and further processes (WAT, PI). So even if you have a poor score in 10th / 12th / graduation (obviously more than 70%), you still stand a chance by acing your CAT paper.
IIM B on the other hand gives a lot of weightage to your past academics. Therefore if you're not someone with 90% and above in both 10th and 12th, you might face serious competitions and if you have a poor score then you might want to drop the dream of IIM B.
But you can still look for IIM A, as it is more balanced than IIM B and doesn't necessarily put that much weight on your past academics.
Hope this helps.
hi,
see the general eligibility criteria for MBA is applicant must complete graduation course in any stream from a recognised University or has passed the Final stage of Chartered Accountancy Course of ICAI or currently studying in the final year of course like b.a, b.com, b.tech, b.sc etc are eligible to appear in CAT exam.
to admission in IIm CAT is the gate way exam. however there is various factors which decides your call for interview. every year once the exam is over and results declared iims release the cutoff score. there is three section and candidates need to secure section wise cutoff score in quantitative, data interpretation and verbal and logical reasoning. cutoff score also depends on various factors like candidates category, number of applicants, questions difficulty level etc.
aggregate cutoff for some of the reputed IIM is as follows:
iim ahmedabad- general category- 80 percentile,
iim calcutta- general category- >_ 80 percentile
iim lucknow- general category- 90 percentile.
to know about previous years cutoff data of iim follow our article at below link:
