EMBA is an Executive MBA offered for working professionals who are in the Management team of an Organisation trying to either move up the professional ladder or learn the nuances of Organisational Management, Many Institutions have been offering EMBA through Full time or Part time or Evening programmes. Few Institutions conduct admissions based on entrance examination score while few others conduct admissions based on your Academic and Professional profile. So it totally depends on whether you want to pursue this course full time or part time and from which Institution. Most working professionals prefer Distance programmes due to their work schedules.
Dear Shubham, there are 20 IIMS. And if you belong to SC Category, you will need to score atleast 60-75 percentile in CAT because each IIM has its own selection critera. Top IIMs like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indire, Lucknow etc will need a minimum of 75 percentile and new IIMs will need atleast 70% for your Category. Now, because IIMs also look into your Academic profile, Diversity factor, course in which you completed your Graduation and work experience, you might lose out on few points as BCA is a regular course and you do not have work experience. So to be shortlisted for IIMs, you should score higher on CAT to balance your lack of work experience and normal BCA degree. Then you have to perform real good in WAT and PI rounds. But to be shortlisted for IIMs, your target shoud be atleast 80-85 percentile. Now that takes care of 20 IIMs. And for the top B schools, it should be atleast 75 percentile.
Hi aspirant
As you are a bank employee, management studies will be useful for your career in future. But you can do any courses which you want. In foreign countries they require GRE, TOEFL, IELTS exams to check your language proficiency and knowledge. So prepare for those exams.
Hope it helps
Hello
telecom and call centre work experience can act as a hindrance but sometimes it wont, because it actually differs from Institute to institute. it depends on how you present it. if you tell them about the things you learnt like patience, good communication skills, leadership skills, trouble shooting, problem solving skills, etc, they make consider it as a plus point. It is how you present yourself in front of the interviewers.
if you wan to go ahead in the marketing field, it is well and good for you as it will be seen as a plus point because your work experience would be in the same field in which you wan to study.
Even if your work does not fulfill above criteria and you receive an interview call, you can always use your work experience in your interview.
Any work experience, as long as you are able to provide valid proof of it, is considered as work experience at any b-school.
all the Best
