Since your aggregate in BE is 83%,you will satisfy the minimum eligibilty criterion(50 %) and you will subjected to shortlisting process.For candidates with work experience of two years or more TAPMI follows profile-based shortlisting. Profile considered for shortlisting consists of valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores (whichever is higher), academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation, backlogs during graduation etc.), work experience (type of company, total experience, etc.), extra-curricular achievements if any.For more clarity,you can visit the below given website

EMBA is an Executive MBA offered for working professionals who are in the Management team of an Organisation trying to either move up the professional ladder or learn the nuances of Organisational Management, Many Institutions have been offering EMBA through Full time or Part time or Evening programmes. Few Institutions conduct admissions based on entrance examination score while few others conduct admissions based on your Academic and Professional profile. So it totally depends on whether you want to pursue this course full time or part time and from which Institution. Most working professionals prefer Distance programmes due to their work schedules.

Dear Ankit, there are 20 IIMs and more than 1000 Institutions that accept CAT score and each has its own selection process.Because CAT exam will be held at different slots, CAT scores will be normalised to ensure equivalence in the difficulty levels of the exams for both slots. IIM Kozikhode will normalise the CAT scores using percentile equivalence. Adjustment of location and scale differences of score distributions across different norms and then scores will be normalised. The 20 IIMS and all the Participating Institutions will announce their Cut offs. The cut off is prepared after checking various factors. MBA aspirants will have to apply separately to all the Colleges that accept CAT scores. While CAT score remains the main criteria for selection, IIMs also consider other factors like previous academic performance, work experience, gender and Academic diversity. CAT exam paper can be Categorised into 3 parts:

Quantitative Ability

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

On an average, you will need your CAT percentile to be atleast 85-90 depending on the Institution that you want to join. For all Institutions, at different stages of Selection process, Application rating process is included.For example, IIM Bangalore follows this process:

For all the Candidates shortlisted, the 10th and 12th board results are initially adjusted by dividing each such score by 90th percentile score of that board. And then an adjusted score is calculated for the Bachelors degree for each of the candidates based on the final scores obtained by the candidate are used for the Bachelors degree and professional degrees. For example,

CAT = 40

10th board = 20

12th board = 10

Bachelors = 20

Gender Diversity = 2

Work Experience = 8

The 40 points for CAT are derived from the performance in each of the three sections as follows:

Verbal & Reading Comprehension - 14 points

Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning - 16 points Quantitative Aptitude - 10 points.

my 10 ,70% and 12 ,70% and graduation 75% how much %tile i will require to get admission in top 30 college of mba by cat im in sc category my graduation is bca and i have no work experience

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 27th Sep, 2019

Dear Shubham, there are 20 IIMS. And if you belong to SC Category, you will need to score atleast 60-75 percentile in CAT because each IIM has its own selection critera. Top IIMs like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indire, Lucknow etc will need a minimum of 75 percentile and new IIMs will need atleast 70% for your Category.Now, because IIMs also look into your Academic profile, Diversity factor, course in which you completed your Graduation and work experience, you might lose out on few points as BCA is a regular course and you do not have work experience. So to be shortlisted for IIMs, you should score higher on CAT to balance your lack of work experience and normal BCA degree. Then you have to perform real good in WAT and PI rounds. But to be shortlisted for IIMs, your target shoud be atleast 80-85 percentile. Now that takes care of 20 IIMs. And for the top B schools, it should be atleast 75 percentile.

can I do mba from foreign without work experience?

S. Saha Student Expert 26th Sep, 2019
It is strongly believed that prior work experience is mandatory for any MBA programmes because students with work experience bring value to the MBA classroom and also find it easier to grasp the MBA curriculum.
MBA schools in the USA that accept freshers include Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Wharton, Chicago Booth and Columbia Business Schools.
Some of the UK universities that accept MBA applicants without any work experience include Anglia Ruskin University, University of East London, Leeds Beckett University and Swansea University.

Telecom and call centre work experience count in mba or pgdm????

gehnachawlagac 14th Sep, 2019

Hello

telecom and call centre work experience can act as a hindrance but sometimes it wont, because it actually differs from Institute to institute. it depends on how you present it. if you tell them about the things you learnt like patience, good communication skills, leadership skills, trouble shooting, problem solving skills, etc, they make consider it as a plus point. It is how you present yourself in front of the interviewers.

if you wan to go ahead in the marketing field, it is well and good for you as it will be seen as a plus point because your work experience would be in the same field in which you wan to study.

Even if your work does not fulfill above criteria and you receive an interview call, you can always use your work experience in your interview.

Any work experience, as long as you are able to provide valid proof of it, is considered as work experience at any b-school.

all the Best

Thankyou, I hope it helps, Feel free to approach for further queries.
