There is no fixed no. Of questions you need to attempt to get any percentile. It is all relative with other students and vary every year.

It also depends on your accuracy rate. By attempting 20 questions with 100% accuracy you can achieve more marks and percentile than attempting 30

IMT Hyderabad, like many other top B Schools now, has a different approach for selection. A high CAT score not necessarily always indicate a true potential managerial candidature.

Please note that CAT / XAT cut off primarily depends on the relative pool of applications. Last year it was somewhere

If you want to start a career in finance then apply for BM course or Business Management
Fellow Programme in Management is more like a PhD and you can opt for that if you are interested in research

XLRI PGDM has 2 different programs: Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM)
Both have same admission process but different cut off
XLRI is one of the best B-Schools in the country for Human Resource Management (HRM) but the cutoff for Business Management (BM) is always higher

Sectional cutoff depends on the colleges taking through these exams. In general, SNAP has no sectional cutoff. XAT and IIFT has sectional cutoff.

 All the reputed  Institutes in India has eligibility criteria for MBA, students have to meet it before admission. General eligibility is that 50% marks in graduation from a recognized university and need to secure good percentile in national level entrance tests(CAT, MAT and CMAT, etc...) or admission seeking

IIM's do consider past academics and so its not just the graduation performance that matters but your 10th and 12th scores as well.
Otherwise BMM graduate student is just like another graduate candidate and there is as such no special consideration.

  • XAT – 2018
  • CAT – 2017
  • CMAT – 2018
  • MAT – May 2017, September 2017,  December 2017, February 2018
  • ATMA – All tests in 2017-18
  • GMAT – 2016, 2017 and 2018 (score of 600 and above)
