A student with 75% in 10th & 12th and 80% in Graduation with B.Com(Hons)..Can that student survive in JBIMS, XIMB, Great Lakes, Chennai.

Manish Thakur 17th May, 2018

Hi Sahil,

As per the scores you have mentioned your profile seems decent enough for the colleges you have mentioned. What ultimately matters is your performance in the academic programme along with some extra-curricular activities and you can sail through easily. There are a lot of instances where students with excellent academics are unable to cope up the pressure whereas students having decent scores do better than them.

Cat 87 percentile. Shortlisted ximb. avg gdpi. Should wait to get into it or drop an year to do better. left job currently

Suraj Mallick 17th Jun, 2018

If you have left your job, you should probably take admission as too long a drop will raise questions over your candidature.

Hope this answers your question!

Ive scored 86%ile in XAT. Would I be able to make it to XLRI or XIMB?

Suraj Mallick 8th Jul, 2018

You need to score 96 percentile and above to get a call for BM and 94 percentile and above for HRM. Besides you also need to clear sectional cut-offs.

You can get XIMB only if you are a Orissa Domicile.

How is XIMB for marketing? How much is the XAT cutoff?

shivani kapoor 6th Feb, 2018

Marketing was the highest recruiting domain with 35 per cent of the batch accepting offers in this role. The top recruiters were from various sectors such as FMCG, Automobile, Telecom, Conglomerate, Manufacturing etc. Companies which extended offers to almost 35 per cent of the students were Nestle, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, UHG, Maruti Suzuki, Times Group, HSIL, Idea Cellular, BPCL, Vedanta.

The XIMB cut off is based on XAT/ CAT/ GMAT (minimum score 550).

When will ximb release their cutoff for nmat score.. how much can i expect its nmat cutoff for rural management and hrm?is the clg good?

honey harit 20th Jan, 2018

Hi XIMB is a ssiter insitute if XLRI is a renowed top b school know for it quality education as well as placement record

However their cut off result  date has nt been announced officially till yet

You can get into XaHR(Human Resource), Xavier School of Rural Management(RM), Xavier School of Sustainability Management(SM) only through your NMAT score. It doesn't consider NMAT score for for its flagship, Business Management(BM) course.

Although it wasn't declared officially, last year it was speculated that the cut off for the above mentioned programs were as follows:

190–200( For HRM)

150–170( For SM and RM course)

Note: 1. This cut-off is used just for shortlisting candidates. You still have to go through all other processes after shortlisting to get into respective schools.

2. It has only been one year. So do not rely completely on what happened a year back.

Hope that helps. Best Wishes!

Will dates for XIMB , IMT , IMI reopen?

Monika Shruti Gupta 27th Dec, 2017
As per previous trends,  forms for IMI and IMT will reopen again post CAT results. It will reopen for a frame of about two weeks, however this duration might vary like IMI might reopen it for two weeks whereas IMT might reopen only for a week.  Keep checking their official websites for the release of forms.
Also, they release ads in newspapers like TOI, THE HINDU, HINDUSTAN, etc. so you might get the latest update from there too.
About XIMB, I am sceptical and apprehensive that they do not reopen registration.
All the best!!
