XISS Ranchi takes into consideration the percentile cut offs for different PGDM programmes based on the All India MBA entrance tests. Here are the cutoffs for the Unreserved Category :

CAT Test - 50

XLRI XAT Test - 50

AICTE CMAT Test - 70

Note: You have to give any one of these exams, not all three.

As your percentile in cat is 34.66 and your xat score is 30.50 , i dont think that there is any chance for you to get calls from any of the iims and i dont think even XLRI would give a call.

The minimum cut off percentile required to get a call from iim is about 35-40 percentile.

I hope you are doing well. If u want to take a drop u are free to do so but I won't suggest u this. Taking drops can be create a gap between you and ur studies due to this you can loose touch with your studies and u may lack the interest to study again. If u can cope up than yes u can surely take a drop or else study hard.

Placements are 75%, top recruiting sector is HR. There are about 145 companies recruiting this university. Top visiting companies are airtel, ACC, Adani, Tata etc.

Summer internship program is also available with average stipend of 50,000.

If we compare IMS Gaziabad and Xiss ranchi for it's specific specialisation, then undoubtedly with past records rural management at xiss ranchi stands at a better position. Rural management may involve you in NGo and travelling to villages to work in those areas but that's not always the case. MBA graduates in rural management is also required in CSR wings of the corporate and public sector, livelihoods focused organisations, micro-finance institutions, small finance banks among others.But moreover it's your decision and you should choose the field which interest you the most. Also if you are taking admission this year, then I'll recommend you to please take college reputation in the industry into consideration as placements are going to be severally affected due to covid-19.

No offense against any institutes as both of this institute are very well known and have their own pros and advantages. But if I were about to choose, I would have gone with NIRMA UNIVERSITY, AHMEDABAD. It's ranked among the top 30 B-schools of India and is one of the best in the field as well as it has great faculty and educational facilities along with well equipped labs and infrastructure. The placement opportunities are also decent.

XISS accepts three MBA entrance exam for admission to its college which are - CAT, XAT and CMAT.

So you can apply in XISS RANCHI without having XISS score card if you are having other two exams scorecard.

Cutoff for CAT and CMAT for XISS RANCHI previous year for general category was -:

1) FOR CAT - 50-60 percentile

2) FOR CMAT - 73 percentile.
