Whether a classroom contains both boys and girls or only either of them depends on the type of institution. A Co-education institute comprises of boys and girls studying in the same classroom whereas an "all boys" or an "all girls" institute comprises of only boys and girls respectively.

Now everywhere boys and girls are in the same classes whether it be engineering colleges or Universities or medical colleges.

But in girls colleges, there are no classes for boys. And in boys college, there are no classes for girls.
