According to the official website there is no increase in seats in NITs , IITs for SC category in the current year . The only increase is done to female category that is 8% to 14% that is also made irrespective of the other categories and 10% EWS category

Ntse eligibility criteria for stage 1 i.e state level:

Students studying in class 10th from recognised boards can be eligible for the exam .

Some state also set 9th marks as a eligibility criteria and it is different in different states
