The cutoff marks are given by opening and closing ranks . The minimum rank required by the student for a fair chance of admission will act as MET 2020 cutoff.

In generally diploma course has a pattern like three years study and one year for internship means total four years it will take.

In which subject Diploma you didn't mention in the question so I can't able to answer properly but I can give you basic pattern of diploma.

There are a lot of factors in the variation of cutoff in met test. The main factor is the no of students attended the test and intakes.
They keep increasing the student intake for each branch and that can cause the cut offs to drop for the major branches.
