Hostel allotment for boys in engineering colleges usually happens after your branch admission is done. Most colleges give hostel room in July or August of new academic session. For example Patna University gives allotment by late July . In colleges like NIT Calicut they start hostel admission once you join academic department and pay fees. They ask to fill hostel form and then publish merit based list for allotment by August. The boys hostel capacity is limited and shared by students of various years . So you should complete your admission in engineering branch by June or July, fill hostel application, and check college notice board or website till end of July. That is how hostel rooms are given in 2025 academic year.

Hi Amit!
For BVSc at Birsa Agricultural University (BAU), seats are limited and general category cutoffs are usually around 1300–1600 depending on the year.With a rank of 1614, your chance is on the edge, but still possible in later rounds or spot counselling. It depends on seat matrix of 2025 especially if any students withdraw ,and how many general seats are left unfilled.
So don’t lose hope. Attend all rounds, keep documents ready, and stay in touch with BAU’s official counselling updates. Even if not in the first list, there’s a chance you may get a call in subsequent ones.
Thank you and wishing you all the best!

HELLO,
The GUJCET merit list is calculated by considering 60% of the marks obtained in Class 12 and 40% of the GUJCET score. CBSE students are also eligible to compete with GSEB students, as the merit list is prepared by combining the Class 12 scores with the GUJCET performance.
CBSE Students and GUJCET:
Hope this Helps!
Class 6 ke liye Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance exam mein koi fixed cutoff nahi hoti, kyunki selection state-wise aur category-wise seat availability ke basis par hota hai. Lekin OBC candidates ke liye competitive score generally 75+ out of 100 hota hai, par yeh har saal change ho sakta hai. Agar aapka performance strong hai aur aapne acchi taiyari ki hai, toh aapka selection hone ke chances ache hain. Final selection merit list ke basis par hota hai.
Gujarat ke engineering colleges ke liye admission merit 60:40 ratio par banta hai — 60% weightage Class 12th (PCM subjects) ke marks ka aur 40% GUJCET ke score ka. Ye formula sabhi eligible boards ke students ke liye apply hota hai, including GBSE and CBSE. Merit list Centralized Admission Committee (ACPC) ke through prepare ki jaati hai and seats are allotted accordingly.
Hi Prince,
Thank you for your question. With an All India Rank of 2,35,807 and MP state rank of 5707 under SC category, it’s a little tough but not impossible to get a government MBBS seat in Madhya Pradesh.
In MP, under the SC category, government colleges have some reserved seats, and the cutoff ranks generally go up to 4500–5500 state rank but it's varies every year . So your state rank of 5707 is slightly on the border, but still, you may get a seat in the mop-up or stray rounds, especially if others withdraw.
It’s very important that you participate in all rounds of MP state counselling and also keep an eye on AIQ Mop-up and Deemed Universities as a backup.
For exact cutoff and more details about medical colleges in MP you can check here;

Wishing you all the very best !
If you have scored 364 marks and are applying under the inhouse quota for a college like SAC, your chances depend on the category, number of seats, and how many in house students have applied. In most cases, 364 is a decent score for in-house quota, and you may get a seat, especially in later rounds. But the exact cutoff changes every year, so it’s better to wait for the official merit list or contact the college admission office for a more accurate idea.
The number of CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds varies every year depending on seat availability and institutional decisions. Typically, there are three main CAP rounds followed by spot or institutional-level rounds if seats remain vacant. If you're in the middle of the process, keep checking the official DTE or CET cell website for schedule updates. It’s important to participate in every round unless you’ve confirmed admission already.
