How can i complete msc with a bcom instead of bsc

preeti kataria 16th Jun, 2025

Generally, to pursue an MSc (Master of Science), you need a BSc degree in a relevant science subject. However, in some special cases, certain universities allow BCom graduates to apply for MSc programs in non-core science field s like MSc in Computer Applications, IT, Environmental Science, or Statistics.

I didnt not apply for ICAR seperately while filling the form of CUET ug but i want to apply for ICAR colleges . I am a Biology student and gave cuet with subject like PCB gat and english. Can i still apply for ICAR colleges counselling even though i didnt mention it while filling cuet form.

Ayush Madanpotra 17th Jun, 2025

If you did not select ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) as a participating university or program while filling out your CUET UG application form, then unfortunately, you will not be eligible to participate in ICAR counselling for this year.

Here’s why:

ICAR colleges accept CUET-UG scores, but only from students who selected ICAR/Agriculture programs while registering. If ICAR wasn’t selected in your form, your result data will not be shared with ICAR, so you won't appear in their counselling list.

Since you are a Biology student with PCB, GAT, and English, you are academically eligible for ICAR UG programs like B.Sc Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, etc. But without choosing ICAR in the form, you can’t apply for their counselling now.

What you can do now:

If you are very keen on agriculture courses, you can apply for:

  1. State-level agriculture universities that conduct their own exams or allow direct admission based on board marks.

  2. Private agriculture colleges that accept students without CUET/ICAR registration.

  3. Prepare for next year’s CUET and make sure to select ICAR while filling the form.

Can i complete msc degree with bachelors degree in commerce? Do private colleges accept students for msc?

Ayush Madanpotra 17th Jun, 2025

You cannot normally do an MSc with a B.Com degree because MSc is meant for students from a science background. It usually needs a B.Sc or similar degree in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science. But some private colleges offer MSc in areas like Data Science or Artificial Intelligence where B.Com students are accepted, especially if you studied Maths or Computer as a subject. So, it depends on the course and the college.

is neet number is helpful during admission in B pharma

Ayush Madanpotra 17th Jun, 2025

No, NEET number is not usually needed for admission in B Pharma. B Pharma admissions are mostly based on your Class 12 marks, especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Math. Some states or universities may conduct their own entrance exams for B Pharma, like MHT CET in Maharashtra or AP EAPCET in Andhra Pradesh. NEET is mainly for MBBS, BDS, and related medical courses, not for pharmacy.

after e councelling process is complete, what is the next process

Ayush Madanpotra 17th Jun, 2025

After the e counselling process is complete, the next steps usually go like this:

You will get a seat allotment result. If you’re satisfied with the allotted college and course, you need to accept the seat online by confirming your choice. After that, you must download the provisional allotment letter.

Then, you’ll have to report to the allotted college within the given dates. You need to carry your documents for verification, like admit card, rank card, allotment letter, class 10 and 12 marksheets, identity proof, caste/income/reservation certificates (if applicable), and passport-sized photos.

Once the college verifies your documents and everything is in order, you will pay the admission fees. After that, your admission will be confirmed, and you’ll receive a confirmation slip or admission letter from the college.

If you don't want the allotted seat, you may go for the next round of counselling if available.

I am from bihar my ews category rank is 48597 My CRL is 346141 in jee mains Can I get any nit

Ayush Madanpotra 17th Jun, 2025

With a CRL rank of 3,46,141 and EWS rank 48,597 in JEE Mains, your chances of getting a seat in an NIT through JoSAA counselling are very low, especially in core branches like CSE, ECE, or Mechanical, even in the lower ranked NITs.

In most NITs, EWS closing ranks for general category students from Home State quota are usually within 20,000 to 30,000 (EWS rank). So at 48,597 EWS rank, it’s unlikely to get a seat in the regular JoSAA rounds.

However, you still have options:

You can try for spot rounds or vacant seat rounds if held later (CSAB Special Rounds), where cutoffs go slightly lower
You can also look at private engineering colleges or state-level counselling in Bihar like BCECE
If you’re open to other branches or lesser known colleges, or wish to try again next year with better preparation, that’s a good plan too

200-250 marks pr kya private mbbs mil skta hai for ews category ya fr government bams ya private mbbs In Madhya Pradesh

Ayush Madanpotra 17th Jun, 2025

If you score between 200 and 250 marks in NEET and belong to the EWS category in Madhya Pradesh, here’s what you need to know:

A government MBBS seat is not possible with that score. This year the EWS state quota cutoff for government seats was around 490 to 500 marks.

Private MBBS seats in MP generally require at least 560+ marks, even for EWS students.

For BAMS or BHMS, typically 350+ marks are needed for government colleges. Private AYUSH seats may be open at lower scores, but 200 to 250 marks is probably still too low for good private BAMS/BHMS seats.

In simple terms, at 200 to 250 marks you are unlikely to get government MBBS or college-level AYUSH seats in MP. You may need to look at paramedical, diploma courses or consider taking a drop year to improve your score.

Mere question ha ki MIET kumaou college me kya 4 saal ba bpt course karaya zata ha aur 6 months intership bhi aur 4 saal ka course ki fees kithi ha internship ko milakar kya MIET college ma admission ke liye neet cler karna hota ha

Ayush Madanpotra 18th Jun, 2025

MIET Kumaon (Haldwani) offers a BPT course which is 4 years long followed by a 6-month mandatory internship. The total fee for the full course including the internship is around Rs2.80 lakh.

You do not need to clear NEET to get admission. Admission is based on your 12th marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and you should have at least 60% marks in total.

So yes, you can apply for BPT at MIET Kumaon without NEET if you meet the eligibility.
