No, the top 3 subjects and the eligibility subjects are certainly different. But for instance if you are asked to write your top three subjects which are eligible to be written, then you will have to provide only those subjects in which you have gotten the best marks. which are eligible as mandated by the college or any Institution. If you are asked just the top 3 subjects for any course admission, then you are required to write the best marks. But it won't certainly be the case as it must be mandated the eligibility criteria for the course. For instance, in DU, fir merit based admission, best 4 marks are to be written but they vary per course.
