Hello,

The fed water temperature is 45° C and steam is produced at 100° C.

So, T = 100 - 45= 55° C

Now, m = 2kg and Cp = 4.18

Hence,

Heat required = mCpT + mλ

So, Heat required= (2 x 4.18 x 55 ) + ( 22 x 7 )............ ( from steam table )

So, Heat required = 4514.46 kJ
