a box contains cards which are numbered as 0,1,2,3.Two cards are drawn at random from the box to form a two digit number . find the probablity of a) forming a number divisible by both 4&3 b) forming a prime number.
Hi
Total possible two-digit numbers (without repetition):
10, 12, 13, 20, 21, 23, 30, 31, 32
Total outcomes = 9
a) Divisible by both 4 and 3 (i.e., 12)
Only number: 12
So P = 1/9
b) Prime numbers
Prime numbers: 13, 23, 31
Favorable = 3
so P = 3/9 = 1/3
