After scoring 80% in 2nd year can I get best college for medical

The eligibility criteria for appearing for NEET-UG examination is to get a minimum of 50% marks in your board exams if you belong to GENERAL CATEGORY. For SC/ST/OBC CATEGORY, it is 40% marks for gaining an eligibility.
It doesn't matter at all how much you score in your board exams, as long as you satisfy the minimum eligibility requirements. What you score in NEET-UG entrance will determine where you'll bag a seat.

Hi Zeeshan
I think 12th marks are not a criteria for getting a seat in medical collges. For that there are qulifying exams for the same like NEET UG, JIPMER,AIIMS etc.You have to write these exams and score a minimum percentile inorder to get a medical seat.

For getting into Medical 12th mark is not enough...
You have to write Entrance exams... NEET UG, AIIMS UG, etc..

Hi Zeeshan,
Percentage of intermediate, i.e 12th grade has a small fraction in determining your rank. 80% is good but people have also got 94 to 96% yet couldn't get into medical college.
Getting into medical college is based on when you write the competitive entrance exams. They determine your rank and your rank gets you into medical college.
Preparation for boards of 11th and 12th are easy as compared to the preparation that is required for a national entrance exam.
The best college for medicine in India is AIIMS, Delhi.
It has its own entrance exam, which is online. Best college depends upon perspective, area wise, locality wise. NEET is the national entrance exam, CBSE board based exam. You need to quality this and get a high score. Which would ultimately land you in the best colleges India has to offer.
Also when you could get a score of 80% in boards then you would be able to get a high score in the competitive exams as well. Stay positive! Stay motivated! Work hard for the entrance exam and you won't have to compromise on your institute and you will end up in the institute you wish.
Goodluck Zeeshan!
Hope this helps.
