Haldia Institute of Technology is quite well for Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Placements : The placements on the campus are good. According to me, it's about 60-70% in CS, ECE, IT. This year Infosys, Wipro, TCS have arrived the college to hire the students. Mainly IT companies visit our college, which provides equal opportunities to all the branches either it is IT-related branches or core branches provided that one should know programming. The highest package for this year was around 12 LPA.

Infrastructure : The campus is good and promising. It has got a huge campus with many labs like computer labs, electronics lab, electrical lab, mechanical workshop, chemistry lab, physics lab, etc. It has got a library called Aryabhatta central library, and each department got its departmental library. It has got the different sports grounds like cricket, football, badminton, etc. It has many canteens like rishtey cafe, sankhachil, etc. It has got many hostels for boys and girls as well separately. It has a huge auditorium with a capacity of 500 people names as S.N. Bose auditorium.

Faculty : The faculty members are more than average and satisfying. They are knowledgeable. Most of them have done their postgraduate and PhD. Our director is ex-director of NIT. The course is followed according to the WBUT syllabus. All the academics are followed according to the WBUT academic calendar.

Other : Many events and seminars are organised by the different national and international societies like IEEE, IETE, CSI, etc. Many seminars have been held on the different topics like robotics, programming, microcontrollers and microprocessors, PCB designing, etc. There is a cultural fest named as Riveros, which has many events like dancing, singing, acting, story writing, content writing, and much more. There is also a tech fest called Prayukti in which many different events are organised, and many colleges take part in this.
