Dear Aspirant,
Matrices are widely used in nearly all types of engineering, but in different ways. These are used in solving problems related to dynamics , equations of motion etc.
Matrices have a great use in MATLAB. These are effective to calculate acceleration, velocity, displacement and drifts of structures while simulating vibrations of Earthquake.
In Civil these are used in many projects. These are used in structural analysis. These are used in Stiffness method and in elasticity problems.
