Are Jossa and JAC counseling same? If no, what is the difference between them? If yes, then please tell me?
Hi,
There is a huge difference between Jac and jossa counselling.
Firstly we understand what is jossa ?
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is constituted by MHRD to conduct common counselling procedure for allocation of seats on the basis of JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks. The seats allocated through JoSAA will be at IITs, NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs.
All the JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualified candidates will be eligible to register for JoSAA 2020.

Hello aspirant,
No JoSAA and JAC are entirely different from each other.
Here is the difference between them:
- JoSAA stands for Joint Seat Allocation Authority whereas JAC is Joint Admission Counselling.
- Through JoSAA counselling for taking admission in IITs, NITs and GFTis is conducted. On the oth er hand , JAC is conducted to give admission in only four Colleges namely NSUT, DTU, IIITD and IGDTUW.
- JoSAA counselling is of seven rounds whereas JAC is of three rounds only.
- Only those candidates who have scored high in JEE Main can get college through JAC. This is not the case with JoSAA.
Hope it helps.
